Peter Lawwell has now resigned from both Celtic PLC and Celtic Football and Athletic Company.
There was some concern on Monday when David Low highlighted that on the Companies House website his Non Executive status in the Football Club remained live.
That could partly be down to festive holidays, more likely to laziness on the part of Celtic.
FC LAZINESS
The club website never announced the appointments of Kwame Ampadu and Wilfried Nancy’s coaches. On the coaching staff page only Gavin Strachan and Stevie Woods were listed.
Celtic announced the resignation of Chairman Lawwell on December 17 with another attack on supporters.
Michael Nicholson went on to claim that three staff members were assaulted following the League Cup Final defeat.
Strangely, despite these alleged incidents taking place at Celtic Park no arrests have been announced or charges made.
Three weeks on the silent CEO is back in his happy zone, hiding in the shadows, avoiding responsibility while continuing to drain £17,000 a week from Celtic.
From Lawwell’s Companies House profile:

Technically it seems that Lawwell has cut his ties from Celtic. His influence could take years to wipe out.
Everyone at Celtic was either appointed or promoted by Lawwell or his charisma-less clone Nicholson.
They have been trained to think his way which is best reflected in the transfer activity.
Paul Tisdale joins Mark Lawwell and others on the scrapheap where tens of millions is wasted on sub-standard players.
With Nancy and Tisdale departing on Monday the spotlight is now on Nicholson.
His sacking would be genuinely significant and Celtic start to recover from the toxic influence of Lawwell.
Should Michael Nicholson be sacked as Celtic CEO?
YES- The clear out of dross must continue
NO- Mikey is a leader and a right good Celt

And who would be the 2% be
CQN and there happy clappers ?
If three members of staff were assaulted after the Cup Final then the would have been assaulted by the booted and suited brigade and executive box crew.
That probably explains why no charges have been brought as it would be bad for business but it’s always better to leave the accusation hanging there as if it was one of the normal punters who did it.
I think it’s very clear that Nicholson should be next out but let’s not forget the ageing Brian Wilson, 78 this year. WTF can he add as Chairman? He evidently added nothing in 20 years as a NED and needs lifted out his ‘chair’ pronto as if he gets settled he won’t be able to remove himself!
Who actually appointed him Chairman and, more importantly, who TF thinks he’s got anything to offer? Certainly not the vast majority of our supporters.
He’ll be back in some capacity .
Meant to add that I’m delighted to hear Lawwell has left both posts and really hope that’s him finished at Celtic for good, aye, permanently and for the good of the club. Despicable man.
YES! “Lawwell, Lawwell, Lawwell, gone, gone, gone.”
If it wasn’t so late, cold and dark outside I could have organised a street party for the green half of the neighbourhood.
I’ll just have to warm myself up outdoors, rejoicing with some fireworks, effigy burning and a solo torchlight parade around the block, ending in a midnight vigil outside his home, prayer chanting “Promise Ye’ll No Come Back Again?”
Given it was common knowledge that Lawwell was stepping down this season, surely a proper forward thinking board would have contingency plans in place to bring in a highly promising NEW addition, someone with ideas, energy, charisma…….no just replace with another nodding dog who has done nothing for 20 years !!
Trolling till the very F*uckin end by declaring himself as British !
The principles of his profession must be rooted in honesty or it wouldn’t work. I feel he fell short of those ideals. He overstretched himself. Honest accountants always welcome to do their work!
