Keeping an eye on Gordon Strachan is a wise move for Celtic fans trying to read between the lines at their club.
It is almost 17 years since Strachan stepped down as Celtic manager but there is no doubt that he has retains strong ties throughout the club.
Officially Strachan is the Technical Director of Dundee but in August 2021 while in that role he was hired to carry out a Strategic Review at Celtic.
Typically there was no further mention of that report from Celtic and the conclusions
STRACHAN- THE CELTIC TIES
October was a busy month for Strachan. On October 11 he attended a Celtic Charity Dinner in London where he shared some hilarious stories with well heeled guests.
Later on there was an event of much more significance.
On October 30 Strachan was booked in for a hilarious Q and A session with Tam Cowan at Blackfriars in the Merchant City.
Three days after the resignation of Brendan Rodgers the future management of Celtic was the key topic.
No cameras were present but live on Radio Scotland Cowan revealed that Strachan expected a December appointment.
That seemed unlikely at the time. With Martin O’Neill installed as interim manager the November international break seemed the natural time to appoint the successor to Brendan Rodgers.
Wilfried Nancy started his disastrous reign on December 4. Gavin Strachan and Stevie Woods are the only coaches to have remained at Celtic throughout the changes in management.

Strachan managed Keane at Coventry City during the 1999/2000 season, before his move to Inter Milan.
ISRAEL RED FLAG
It might be a complete coincidence but the timing of Strachan dropping in in Ferencvaros at their Turkish training camp is certainly curious.
Keane appears to be carving out an impressive career in management. Starting off as an assistant manager at Middlesbrough and Ireland.
There is one red flag that Celtic would do well to note. Keane managed Maccabi Tel Aviv during the 23/24 season as Israel started their genocide of Palestine.
He might think that it was professional to see the season through but the Celtic support has a social radar that very few other supports have.
There may be a not so subtle campaign underway to test the water over Celtic fans accepting Keane.
If it wasn’t for the Tel Aviv season Keane would be a very interesting candidate, someone that might be able to crack it at Celtic.
In a totally different turn of events Rod Stewart mentioned appointing Keane in a video message celebrating the sacking of Wilfried Nancy.

I would like to see Robbie in. Think he could do a good job at Celtic. Not a great field of realistic candidates pre Nancy i felt. He’s won titles wherever he’s been and im sure they are unbeaten in Europa League this season.
Black day for the Celtic support when some celebrated that attack on Israel. Forced Abada out of the club and fell out with big Bitton. Now we could miss out on a potential manager and there is probably an unknown effect through the game with certain agency’s and players not wanting to deal with Celtic after that day.
