The myth of the 49ers took another blow today with Paraag Marathe stepping down as vice-chairman of the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act.
A year ago the Gullible were getting fed a tale of how the San Francisco 49ers were about to make team the richest soccer club on the planet
That tale was quickly downgraded to 49ers Enterprises before mystery man Andrew Cavenagh bought out some Real Rangers Men.
So far not a penny has been spent on transforming Ibrox despite all the grand plans and spin.
Leeds haven’t even put in a bid for the £40m rated Nicky Raskin.
Marathe does have a role in 49ers enterprises but today he has walked away from the marble staircase of dignity.
THE IBROX MYTH OF THE 49ERS
Cavenagh now is left running the show just as the SFA are about to rubber stamp their application to play in next season’s UEFA competitions.
In Scotland there is no application of Financial Fair Play or Financial Sustainability Rules.
Rangers and Airdrie have both died this century with clubs such as Hearts, Dundee, Motherwell, Falkirk, Livingston and Inverness Caley Thistle have all been in administration.
Hundreds of debtors have lost millions of pounds to football clubs while the SFA ignores the legislation in place elsewhere in Europe.
Why wouldn’t they step away from Leeds instead? https://t.co/LbojYZlTGv

Favoured messengers the Rangers Review spun today’s resignation with:
Now the Rangers Review can exclusively reveal that the Leeds United chairman has moved back from his official position with the club. It is understood that director Gene Schneur – who is also on the board at Elland Road – has also relinquished his role in Glasgow just months after being appointed to a new-look hierarchy.
The moves are designed to keep Rangers – who are not part of a multi-club structure with United – in line with UEFA rules regarding individuals who have an influence in more than one club.
The governing body have taken a hard-line stance on multi-club ownership and demoted Crystal Palace from the Europa League to the Conference League this term amid the controlling say of Lyon owner John Textor.
Rangers and Leeds operate with completely separate executive structures and there will be no change to the ownership model as a result of Marathe and Schneur’s exits.
UEFA does not permit two clubs within an ownership group to play in the same European competition, with the club that finishes lower in their domestic league forced to give up their spot if a conflict arises.
Strangely during the lead up to Andrew Cavenagh’s buy out the Rangers Review were highlighting the benefits of the tie up with Leeds.
The cutting edge data and analytics used by the Yorkshire club would be put to use at Ibrox to transform the universe.
Around £35m was spent during the summer followed by £10m in January.
In their last two away days Rohl’s all stars have drawn with Motherwell and Livingston who have spent £45m more than the Tribute Act this season.

So what’s the difference with Palace??? Surely boke rules? AGAIN….
So The Pathological Liar Guy Jackshun is a Pathological Liar once again then !
The big question is Joe, where has the £45m came from then as it was proven that their chairman doesn’t have such funds?
My guess is that it’ll be loans secured on Ibrox & the world class breakfast abode….

Editor: We know from the past that no one cares or bothers how an O** F*** battle is funded. You won’t ever find Celtic pushing for Financial Sustainability in Scottish football.
Marathe presumably could have made the decision to stay with theRangers and ‘ relinquish ‘ his job(s) with Leeds Utd .. couldn’t he ? He’s picked the bigger and more lucrative out of the two sides ! His decision will embarrass a lot of confused people especially those brown nosed tabloid scoops who continually maintain that the tribute act is ‘ bigger ‘ than Leeds Utd as a footballing concern? Lookout for the comforting stories in the coming days as theRangers seek to replace Marathe …billionaires lined up for the job being one of them !
