Even by the abysmal standards of Scottish refereeing the decisions made in the Celtic v Dundee Scottish Cup tie were horrendous.
Ryan Lee refereed Celtic for the first time. It is easy to see why he has shot through the ranks into top tier matches.
Lee is a clone of Willie Collum. Someone completely detached from the match, interested only in his own self importance.
ANYONE BUT CELTIC
From early on Lee acted as an additional midfielder for Dundee, blocking space to deny Celtic players the opportunity for forward passes into the penalty box.
He was fairly innocent in the main first half incident. When Tomas Cvancara was fouled at the corner of the penalty box by Luke Graham there wasn’t much of a claim for a penalty.
Which is where VAR should step in to prove its worth. Just like in the Celtic v Utrecht Europa League match.
Andrew Dallas and David Dickinson did carry out a VAR check, it lasted barely 15 seconds.
Clearly Graham was in the penalty box when he fouled Cvancara.
Dickinson has been all over penalty incidents in recent weeks but not in this case.

With Celtic chasing the game assistant referee Douglas Ross on the North Stand side of the pitch became more involved.
He loves the spotlight, especially when he can influence Celtic matches.
A CLEAR PATTERN
With 10 minutes left to play Julian Araujo sent in a cross from close to the bye-line. His cross landed three yards from the goal-line, plum in the centre of the six yard box.
It is physically impossible to cross the ball out of play then back in to land where the ball did.
Only Douglas Ross saw it. If only he was as eagle-eyed with multiple expenses claims he might still be a Westminster MP.
In the 88th minute Cameron Congreve raised his boot to head level, kicking Kieran Tierney in the head.
The defender needed three minutes of treatment on the pitch. Lee decided that it was only a yellow card- what would it take to result in a red.
Tierney needed to be substituted, Congreve escaped with only a booking.
Dundee soon lost an equaliser, they should have played the extra-time with 10 men.
Dallas and Dickinson decided not to request a pitchside review.
Week by week the performances of Scottish referees goes through the floor.
Collum’s monthly VAR Review has become a parody as the Head of Refereeing excuses multiple errors with many decisions simply left out of the show.

The refereeing is now more blatant than it ever was. At 80 I have seen an awful lot of bad refs, the likes of “Tiny Wharton, McCluskey, Davidson through to Dallas and Beaton! Yes their antics leave a lot to be desired, and as for Ross, what an arsehole, why was he talking into a Celtic’s player ear whilst taking a corner kick?. Yes their love for the Huns knows no bounds, and they are going to make sure Celtic will not win the league!! . Just one thing, no one has told that to the Bhoys, as they WILL win the league, and it is time wee Willie winkie got brought to the bar to answer a few questions!!

The board has alot to answer for this season. But the boycott was a disgrace we were secs from going out. When we needed a packed Parkhead drown ING out the opposition fans they were making a stance
