There was a comforting, familiar feeling to the conclusion of Wednesday nights SPFL action. Unless your name is Steely.
Despite years of experience the Ibrox podcaster was off down a very familiar path as he watched the action unfold from Fir Park.
Danny Rohl is the current ‘keeper of dreams. See Gio, Micky Beale and Phil Clement.
Soon after taking over each new Ibrox boss goes on a winning run which results in Tavpen trending on match-days.
STEELY GOES ALL IN WITH ROHL
The awkward looking German is the most recent beneficiary of the strange applications of the Laws of the Game towards clubs from Ibrox.
With Steven McLean and John Beaton on duty at Fir Park three points looked a sure thing.
When Livingston equalised at Celtic Park on Wednesday night Steely really started daring to dream.
Five points ahead of the club that has made his life a living nightmare. A win over Hearts on Sunday and top of the league. In February!
What could possibly go wrong?

Someone once said that it is the hope that kills them. Or in this case Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Stephen Welsh.
First up the Ox curled in a winner against Livingston in the first minute of stoppage time.
A few minutes later Welsh, on loan from Celtic drilled a show across Super Jack Butland to give Motherwell an equaliser.
As the tears swelled the SPFL table looked a little more worrying.
FROM AS IT STANDS TO REALITY
Rohl’s side are five points behind Sunday’s visitors, table topping Hearts. Celtic are a point behind the German genius with a game in hand.
Steely has been in this movie before. Many times. Rohl is one match away from an expletive ridden video blast.
With his Trump worshipping it looks like it might soon be time to Make ‘Rangers’ Greet Again.
It’s the hope that kills them, EVERY SINGLE TIME! ?
