Graeme Souness doesn’t want Celtic to win the SPFL title.
And that’s newsworthy for the Daily Record.
For the last 40 years Souness hasn’t wanted Celtic to win anything.
Life has been pretty miserable for the former Blackburn boss over the last 15 years.
Recently he has been trying to get a payday as an Ibrox Ambassador with no success.
He was called on to help find a successor for Micky Beale. Souness wanted Frank Lampard, the club went for Phil Clement because he was a proper football manager.
With his Sky Sports pundit contract binned a few years ago Souness has been scratching around for any sort of media work.
SOUNESS DESPERATE FOR EARNERS
On May 1 he’ll be centre stage at Edmiston House to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his appointment as Rangers manager.
Dave Murray is unlikely to be on the guest list.
To shift tickets for the event Souness is blabbing away to various legacy media outlets with the Daily Record reporting:
Rangers have momentum and are a better side than Celtic right now. Where Rangers are short is their lack of an out and out goalscorer. Celtic have dominated the league in recent years as they have had that but not this season but they have had better strikers and that’s a huge factor in their dominance.
Hearts this season have had strikers who score goals and if Rangers aren’t to win the title then I want Hearts to win having been brought up in that part of Edinburgh.
Yeah. Sure, that is exactly why you want Anyone But Celtic to win the SPFL title.
That Blackburn defeat in 2002 rally hurt Souness. Especially following his men against bhoys comment after losing the first leg.
Souness became Rangers manager in April 1986.
In November 1988 he brought his friend Murray in as chairman and majority shareholder.
In May 2011 Murray sold the club to Sir Craig Whyte for £1.
Scottish football fans will forever be grateful to Souness for his role in liquidating Rangers in 2012.
Bringing Murray to Ibrox was the perfect match. The ridiculous ego was the perfect owner for a club with a bizarre sense of entitlement. They fed off each other brilliantly to the cost of Her Majesty, mother of Prince Andrew.
For £40-70 bears can hear Souness gushing about his great times as Rangers manager before bailing out in April 1991 under pressure from Aberdeen.

Look at The Calvinistic Penisssssss preening himself in that pic to some no doubt Hun interviewer…
Never forget Penisssssssssssssssssssssssss…
Ye were a Jambo before ya crawled up Murray’s rectum…
We know that you know that we know !
Wow hold on a minute. a former rangers manager dosnt want Celtic to win the title. Are you sure about this. Or did you just make that up.
Joe…. Souness is and always was a horrible bigoted Hun bastard, he was a sneaky dirty bastard when he played never a football hard man, only signed Judus to get one over on Celtic… the ugly cunt had a gig on Irish tv RTE a few years ago but he didn’t last long couldn’t contain his dislike for anything Irish or Celtic so they waved him bye bye, now his trying to flog 80 pound tickets to listen to a few bigoted stories and probably a rendition of the Billy boys but I’m sure they’ll be plenty of brainless Huns who’ll snap them up…things must be fairly bad with him if that’s all he’s left to do. Couldn’t happen to a more horrible Hun prick
He witnessed rangers dying and for that I will be eternally grateful. Peeeeeenis!!
Love that the hordes love him and lap up his bitter warblings. To be fair without him there would be no Sevco. There would still be the previous club / company!!! If he hadn’t used the Geordies money to give everyone at RFC and himself a massive bung from the £6.5m he handed over for Bum Song then no one would be any the wiser about hidden contracts and EBTs and the illegal Corruption.
Souness is just the latest ex theRangers employee to publicly state ‘ anyone but Celtic ‘ as I paraphrase his words given to the daily Record ! Old Ferguson is on record ( oopsy daisy ) , stating he wanted to sell 2 players on the cheap to Ibrox when he was Man Utd head bummer because ‘ he did not want Celtic to win the league .’ Unbelievable ! These are the type of Scotland icons we are dealing with ? Not a single cell of sportsmanship or decency in both of their old bodies and brains ! Still , these two in particular will enjoy the adulation and praise from the daily Record right up until the very end …not a syllable from any ghost typist condemning their skewed attitude or partisanship towards the tribute act . Not in the least !
Two huns get together to decide who they want to win the league = daily rectum article
