A report in The Sun claims that Callum Osmand will be back available after the international break.
Very little has been heard about the striker since he was stretchered off away to Midtjylland with a serious looking hamstring injury.
That injury came in just his third Celtic appearance, all coming off the substitute bench.
Osmand scored the third and clinching goal for Celtic in their League Cup semi-final victory at Hampden on November2 and seemed set to shine under Martin O’Neill.
The former Fulham striker replaced Cameron Carter-Vickers in Celtic’s Europa League squad with club’s allowed one replacement due to long term injury.
Osmand replaced Johnny Kenny at half-time with Celtic trailing 3-0.
OSMAND STRUCK DOWN IN DENMARK
He was involved in the penalty that Reo Hatate scored from in the 81st minute but soon afterwards pulled up injured as Celtic’s hamstring curse struck again.
There hasn’t been much in the way of updates over the striker but The Sun reports:
Elsewhere, O’Neill is hopeful of having Arne Engels and Callum Osmand back available after the international break.
Julian Araujo could also return, having travelled to Bournemouth for treatment on a thigh injury.

The return of Engels after six weeks out has been quite well sign posted but it has almost been radio silence over Osmand.
He was spotted enjoying Celtic’s Scottish Cup victory at Ibrox with team-mates but hasn’t been pictured training at Lennoxtown.
After five months out of action returning from a hamstring injury has to be very carefully monitored.
With Celtic toiling badly to find goals there will be a temptation to get Osmand involved again.
However the repeat hamstring injuries suffered by Alastair Johnston, Marcello Saracchi and Kelechi Iheanacho are a warning against that.
A more likely timeline would be Osmand being available for selection in around a month, with the post split SPFL fixtures starting on April 25/26.
No update on Celtic’s injury issues is likely before next Friday when Martin O’Neill previews the match at Dundee.

F**k we need some sort of boost on The Glass Men front for sure !
Given the hopeless state of our ‘strike’ force, Callum Osmand would be a big boost. He’d just started to look the part and cruelly lost out to injury.
I sometimes wonder, like the development squad ‘managers’, just what TF the ‘medical’ men know or do.
Anyway, we’ve still got a Title to go for (and much further down the ‘needs’ line, a SC) so all good news is more than welcome on returning players.
Whilst our squad is weak, it’s still strong enough to do the double if we all pull together and those arseholes on the board, and that’s all of them, knuckle down and, for once, do what the support wants.
However, regardless of which way the board goes, and how the team performs, they’ve GOT to be removed along with at least one Irish, leeching, golfing shareholder and that’s “Any Which Way You Can”.
Not Another Penny needs radical help. Pickets at CP, pickets at each of the board’s homes and ‘Voila’, they’re gone. This would work, I’ve absolutely no doubt, and I’d join it in a heartbeat.
Get in their faces . They’ll soon crumble.
Martin, it’s nice that we agree to agree but we’re a wee bit short on numbers and tactics. Now, I believe, the tactical answer is picketing but we now need to raise (the flag of war) numbers and pledges. I pledge to back this idea (of clearing CP of brigands, tyrants and other tory scum) with time and money.
I’ve donated to the new CFC but think its approach is a mile too soft. I suggested using the 5 WA to them but was told (not verbatim but similar) “in my experience, there’s no appetite for it”.
FFS, what an attitude from the CFC, “no appetite”, certainly NOT rebels.
I just wonder what Bobby Sands would say/think of that “no appetite” craic, if only Thatcher hadn’t murdered him?
“Not Another Penny” to be spent on our club and not another penny to be allowed to be stolen by the board. Get them tae fuck, PRONTO!
Picket, picket, PICKET, CP and every one of the director’s homes, including the ‘architect’s’ in Thorntonhall and the Gibraltar-based, Irish, leeching, golfing prick from Macroom, Eire with property in Dublin too.
Desmond’s son, at Desmond’s behest, attempted to read out more shite from his Da’. FFS, how disconnected can one CUNT be that he ‘calls out’ Celtic FC supporters for being anti-establishment?
And, do not forget, as a non-exec director he should be ‘called out’ and removed from any board position……..I need tae leave this just now…….but I’ll NEVER leave the principle of these scumbag, tory bastards ruining OUR football club.
We’re on the road to god knows where…….
