In a highly predictable move engineered from Ibrox a joyous pitch invasion are in the news.
Not so much the bears that rushed trackside to celebrate Manny Fernandez’s ‘goal’ against Celtic but the reaction of some visiting fans after the penalty shoot out.
Martin O’Neill and Daizen Maeda posed for selfies with jubilant fans before events took a very sinister twist.
A handful of Union Bears came on the pitch then thought better of that idea and returned back to their seated area.
Soon afterwards they were on the pitch mob handed. Over 100 charged towards the halfway line, one kicking out at a WPC.
The fans still inside Ibrox roared their approval at what they were watching.
A flare was then launched into the Broomloan Road Stand. The fans from the Copland Road Stand were joined on the pitch by others from the Enclosure and Sandy Jardine Stands.
One 47-year-old bear has been arrested for an attack on a member of Celtic’s medical team.
All of that is being blamed on Celtic fans celebrating winning a cup tie!

Ignoring the pitch invasion, BBC Scotland gushingly reported:
Joe Garner scored a stoppage-time winner as Rangers came from behind to beat Partick Thistle at Firhill.
Kris Doolan nodded home at the end of a great move as Thistle took the lead and complete control of the first half following early Rangers pressure.
Substitute Barrie McKay produced a moment of quality to poke home and haul his side level.
And Garner superbly headed in Kenny Miller’s cross to complete the comeback and hand his side all three points.
THE FAMOUS FIRHILL INVASION
The win, which ensures a top-four finish and secures European football for Rangers next season, takes the third-placed Ibrox side to within six points of second-placed Aberdeen, who play Hearts later.Among the legendary names in the away side were Wes Foderingham, David Bates, Miles Beerman, Jason Holt and Joe Dodoo.
On the bench Pedro Caixinha could turn to Andy Halliday, Clint Hill, Jason Barjonas and Barry McKay.
Ten days later Aberdeen won 3-1 at Ibrox to secure second place.
Finishing third allowed the Tribute Act to play in European competition for the very first time.
Unfortunately Progres Niederkorn mean that the Euro adventure would be brief. After defeat in Luxembourg Caixinha had a memorable exchange with angry bears while standing in bushes next to the team bus.

Joe mores the pity Fergus isn’t still at Celtic..things would be massively different from that weak as piss statement from club about Liebox last Sunday, if Fergus was still here he’s be tooled up Monday morning and the scabby Hun tramps, SFA and any cunt pointing a finger if blame our way would be gone under ground by now.. disgusting statement from club is a total betrayal to all Celtic fans
I’m not belittling the actions of fans after Celtic triumphed over theRingers last Sunday but what sort of coverage would the SMSM have afforded the scenes on the pitch if theRingers had won the penalty shoot out ? Do you think there would have been as much reportage from the scoops , or condemnation ? I think their attention would have been on their pet project’s win rather than the criticism of fans after the Celtic win ?
The Celtic board are more interested in milking money from supporters than defending them from attacks from rival fans!! Absolutely disgraceful from our board of directors.
I’m sure they did the same at Livingston within the last few years.
Lol I see the name Fernandez getting a mention, apparently he’s the next big player out the door at ibrix for funny money,£20 million bangers plus is the rumour.
Aye but that was Sevco so it wasn’t thuggery just ‘jubileeation’ !
