Odin Thiago Holm is expected to complete a loan move from Celtic back to Valerenga TODAY.
The midfielder made the move from Norway to Scotland in the summer of 2023 but his Celtic career barely got off the ground.
Brendan Rodgers inherited a strong midfield of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley with Holm and Kwon Hyeok-kyu brought in to replace Aaron Mooy.
Holm had a similar profile to Kris Ajer but his Celtic career seemed almost over following his Champions League debut.
Sent on as a substitute away to Feyenoord the young Norwegian was shown a red card after just 10 minutes.

With Celtic down to nine men they did well to only lose 2-0 to the Dutch side, managed by Arne Slot.
Holm barely featured again for Rodgers with Gus Lagerbielke, also red carded, suffering a similar fate.

Holm got a few brief appearances off the bench at the start of the24/25 season. The arrivals of Arne Engels and Luke McCowan put that to an end.
In January 2025 he moved on loan to Los Angeles FC but a blood condition discovered meant that move barely got off the ground.
In recent months he has been seen in the background of Celtic training images but hasn’t been near a squad.
There hasn’t been a single question put to Martin O’Neill about the status of the Norwegian.
Now, returning to the club where he made his breakthrough is something of a fresh start.
If his blood issue is under control he can look forward to some decent playing time after almost three wasted years.
Playing time has been limited but he does return with experience of Scottish and MLS football.
Like almost all of the club signings from summer 2023 it is hard to see a future for Holm at Celtic even with a summer change of manager.
Luis Palma and Maik Nawrocki are currently out on loan and are expected back at Celtic in the summer.
