On Saturday Andy Halliday was promoted onto the Motherwell substitute bench for the match against Celtic.
No shift from BBC Scotland or Radio Clyde for the 34-year-old former Bradford ace.
On Monday he was back at the real job, pushing his opinions as FACTS on Radio Clyde, assisted by Gordon Duncan and Roger Hannah.
Last Monday Halliday was claiming that there were Celtic fans in the centre circle at Ibrox taunting good natured bears into invading the pitch.
Halliday has very close connections with the Union Bears.
THE HALLIDAY AGENDA
On Monday he was pushing the claim that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should have been sent off in the seventh minute of Celtic’s victory.
This has nothing to do with the welfare of a team-mate or the reduced prospects of Motherwell picking up a win or draw bonus.
The Oxlade-Chamberlain claim is totally ridiculous. It is to paint John Beaton as a ‘Selik-man’. Even by post 2012 standards that is a complete whopper.
Absolute nonsense. The complete opposite of the truth.

The Oxlade-Chamberlain challenge on Just was run of the mill. No big deal.
Two players in close proximity. No swinging leg, no raised studs.
If Halliday wants to discuss red card ‘challenges’ that could inflict serious injury he is perfectly placed.
Back in July 2021 Celtic faced Hearts at Tynecastle. It was Ange Postecoglou’s first domestic game. His first taste of Scottish officials.
Seeing Callum McGregor racing away Halliday decided to do what he has made a career of.
He raced back a little then stamped his studs into the back of McGregor’s heel.
Back in his Bradford or Middlesbrough days it would have been a straight red card. No questions.
Fortunately for Halliday his good mate Bobby Madden was refereeing the match.
Madden and Halliday had been on the Open Goal podcast a few weeks before that match.
Everyone on Open Goal is a top lad.
Madden took no action other than awarding a free kick against his podcast buddy. No yellow or red card.
Halliday and Madden are two of a kind, they share many interests,
Radio Clyde are long term media partners of Celtic. Getting the red carpet treatment to all club events.
Serious question, why is Bobby Madden allowed to ref games when he does a podcast with one of Hearts players? Surely a conflict of interest

Standard fare from Super Scoreboard.
What will @ClydeSSB and Andy Halliday gaslight the Celtic support with tonight.

Halliday was pretty balanced at the start.
But now he is trying to carve out a career in the media, Clyde SSB and BBC.
He is going down the pro sevco route.
Slaughter everything Celtic and he will go far.
Just a stupid wallopper.I will never forget the look on his face when he got hooked after 20 mins against Celtic in a cup semi final absolutely raging he was and Celtic beat sevco 4-0.Priceless!
Sounds like he’s on drugs at times…
Well he ain’t got too much trouble finding a supplier if desired !
Either you’re a player or a pundit
Shouldn’t be allowed to be both
A guy who plays for Motherwell sitting on a radio show as a pundit giving his take on a Celtic v Motherwell game is just taking the p*ss
The guy is a complete tosser and has a brass neck that couldn’t be burnt with a blowtorch. Taking a salary from the well while getting paid by the media to spout about everything to do with the manky mob.
