Chris Sutton has called out the ‘mind games’ of Danny Rohl.
For four months the geeky German had managed to remain out of the media spotlight.
Martin O’Neill has been centre stage with Derek a McInnes an interesting distraction.
In the background Rohl has been smirking away, largely avoiding the hype and stupidity that seems to be part of the DNA at Scotland#s newest club.
On the eve of playing Celtic in the SPFL Rohl suddenly went all Micky Beale. He couldn’t shut up.
ROHL SUDDENLY GETS GOBBY
Suddenly he was an expert on European football. Asking why Celtic hadn’t pushed for a two or three nil victory over Stuttgart. This from a guy with a record of W1, D1, L4 in European competition.
Not content with that Rohl started speculating on whether Kasper Schmeichel or Vil Sinisalo would be in goals.
It was a very strange move to make from the German with the dubious hairline.
Perhaps it was to deflect away from drawing at Livingston. Or playing to the baying Ibrox gallery.
Since then results have gone downhill for Rohl.
Sutton has watched numerous Ibrox managers implode, discussing the latest in-mate the Daily Record reports the former Celtic striker saying:
I think Danny Rohl has had too much to say for himself in recent times.
Danny Rohl opened his mouth and was telling Celtic how they should have played in Europe.
This came from a guy who’s record in Europe was pretty dour. I think Rangers fans have ramped up the pressure on Danny Rohl because they are thinking ‘why don’t you just keep your mouth shut Danny? Why are you getting involved in saying how Martin O’Neill should play?’
It’s okay if you are seeing games through against Celtic at Ibrox and knocking them out the cup. But he didn’t and in many respects, people are thinking ‘well Danny Rohl’s eye has been taken off the ball’.
The pressure is ramped up on Rangers now.
You just have to focus on your own club. The fanbases are so big and they hang on every word that the manager says.
It’s not me saying this, it’s what Rangers fans are saying about Danny Rohl. It’s an obvious observation.
Results have been good since he came in and Rangers are in a title race but just when they are getting somewhere, why would you shoot yourself in the foot? I don’t understand that.
Rohl won the first of his nine cup finals away to St Mirren on Sunday.
Eight more cup final wins and he’ll avoid the anger and rage of the bears.

Who would take a bet on McInnes getting manager of the year for winning nothing if MON manages to win the title and maybe even a double?
It’s an absolute stick on.
If we win the double they can give that Scummy Scottish Football Media award to the man in the moon as we’d have the most delicious double Bhoy4life !
He wanted desperately for Celtic to knock out Stuttgart to derail our league campaign which it would’ve surely done !
