LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 09: SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster and cinch CCO Robert Bridge pose for photographs to announce cinch, the UK’s fastest-growing online used car marketplace, as new title sponsor of the SPFL, in a five year deal that will run until the 2025/26 season. The long-term agreement, which will span all four divisions, represents the largest title sponsorships deal in the SPFL’s history, on June 09, 2021 in London, England. The SPFL are expected to announce the final batch of five fixtures over the next 48 hours.
If they fail to do so it will be assumed that someone is exerting pressure for a certain series of matches.
The split came in for season 2000/01 to accommodate the then SPL being increased from 10 to 12 clubs.
That was a condition imposed by the SFL to give their approval for the new SPL which thought that it could do a similar job to the EPL. The biggest clubs were making their own decisions with no voting influence from the clubs in Scotland’s lowest division.
On Saturday Falkirk were confirmed as the sixth club in the top half of the table. With a match to spare.
For the best part of a month Falkirk seemed certain to make sixth place. SPFL plans should have been well in place.
Celtic 4 Home 2 Away
Hearts 3 Home 3 Away
Rangers 2 Home 4 AwayHearts have Celtic and Hibs Away
Rangers have Celtic and Hearts Away

6 games to go. 18 points.

Celtic are due three home matches out of five. Danny Rohl’s side have to play three away matches.
The balance of fixtures won’t be perfect. As the lowest ranked club at the start of the season Falkirk will visit Celtic Park for a third time, they will also host the Ibrox club for a third time.
SPFL- GYMNASTICS AND DIPLOMACY…
Having three teams involved in a title fight is a new experience for the SPFL.
Normally their main task in to avoid the top two in a title decider. This season they have three teams to take account of.
With that in mind the head-to-head clashes involving the top three clubs are almost certain to be over the first three fixtures.
The final fixtures will be played on Saturday May 15 with a 12.30 kick off. The other match dates are April 25/26, May 2/3 and May 9/10 and the midweek of May 12/13.
Celtic will host a Glasgow Derby and Hearts in the first three matches.
Taking most issues in mind it seems that Hearts will visit Celtic Park on the weekend of April 25/26.
May 2/3 is followed by a Bank Holiday which could see the Glasgow Derby pushed back to May 9/10. With two rounds of matches after that it will be highly important but not critical.
Giving Celtic a run of Home, Away, Home, Away, Home the Falkirk match would be the final one on May 15.
Matches 35 and 37 will be away from home, against Hibs and Motherwell, the order of those matches won’t be critical.
All five of Celtic’s matches will be shown live on TV, Sky or Premier Sports, meaning that there won’t be any Saturday 3pm kick-offs.
Will Celtic face Hearts in the first post-split fixture?
YES-
NO

Any organisation worth its salt would have already rinsed the possible scenarios thru the “supercomputer” ( said supercomputer consisting of a bunch of sevco sympathisers sitting round a table trying to find a way to guarantee govan champs) and had the fixtures published as soon as the last games were played.
It wouldn’t have taken much savvy to work out who the 6th team was gonna be, a choice of two was it?
It’s absolutely ridiculous it takes this long, which only adds to the conspiracy.
I don’t know if the diets go to them but if they do my guess is that will be the first or second game they get, they will want those 3pts bagged asap, if they do that, operation
SevcoCL will kick in big style, the MiB will be in Terminator mode from then on.
Joe regardless how split fixtures pan out I’m sure the masonic brotheran of the spfl will make it was hard as possible for Celtic and we should also watch for referee appointments who we get for our six games
Do you not think the ham farts v the huns will be kept to the end in case one is required to lie down.
I think Sky TV will have a major say in the last fixture. They will want a blockbuster finish, so they will want Celtic v Hertz or Hertz v Huns.
Doubt they would want us against the diets last game cos if we have a say on who wins the title then thats a lay down all day long, and I’d be happy to see it happen, don’t think SKY would want that as a spectacle.
