There was no hiding place for Danny Rohl today as Celtic killed off his title dream.
Around 58,000 home fans roared with delight as a brilliant second half double from Daizen Maeda gave Celtic a 3-1 victory.
In four matches against Martin O’Neill Rohl has been schooled each time.
Celtic have knocked Rohl’s side out of both domestic cup competitions, today they finished off his title hopes.
Rohl went into the split talking about having to play five cup finals. Today he became the first manager in Sevco’s history to lose three SPFL matches in a row.
DANNY ROHL- SIMPLY THE WORST
Even jokers like Graeme Murty, Pedro Caixinha and Russell Martin never lost three in a row.
Adding to the misery that the German is feeling his side will finish third in the title race. Matching the epic 2016/17 campaign under Mark Warburton, Murty and Caixinha.
It is no longer good enough not being Russell Martin.
Wearing brown brogues, a club blazer and tie only gets you so far.
And when your name is being chanted by thousands of opposition fans there is no way back.
A mutual consent can be expected over the next fortnight, allowing Rohl to spend more time with his family and his wig manufacturer.
Celtic, with eight defeats already in the SPFL are now two victories away from a fifth successive title.
Being in contention is entirely down to Martin O’Neill. A manager. A football manager.
O’Neill has forgotten more about management than Rohl has picked up in a lifetime of coaching courses.
There is nothing to prepare a manager for a three horse title race.
Being manager of Sheffield Wednesday and smirking through media conferences counts for nothing when you have to deliver a half time team talk in a Glasgow Derby.
In seven months in charge Rohl hasn’t imposed any style of play on his side.
He selected James Tavernier as captain even though he announced that he is leaving at the end of this season.
Captain Disappointed had another Derby Day nightmare. Involved in all three Celtic goals then substituted.
On Wednesday Tavernier will make his final appearance at Ibrox. A crowd of around 20,000 are expected for the visit of Hibs.
It is looking increasingly likely that it will also be Rohl’s last match in charge at Ibrox.

Danny – Danny Dole… Danny – Danny Dole…
Danny – Danny Dole… Danny – Danny Dole…
Will miss him when he gets punted though…
Nice enough lad – Too nice for these toxic bastards !
