Danny Rohl is about to discover the price of failure at Ibrox.
As long as he gets his contract honoured the gormless German won’t be too bothered.
Phil Clement, Russell Martin, Micky Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst all left Ibrox very wealthy after becoming victins of the cycle of failure.
Just over a fortnight ago Rohl was one of the leading young coaches in European football. Preparing for next season’s Champions League group stage.
This morning he has lost three in a row in the SPFL with Conference League football very likely at Ibrox next season.
Making things worse for Rohl is a 74-year-old that has positioned Celtic into being two victories away from a fifth successive SPFL title.
All media hopes now are pinned in Derek McInnes to deliver what Rohl has failed to do.
Last week the Wolfsburg story emerged. At his media conference on Friday the current Ibrox boss shot it down.
He has exciting plans for next season. It is always Next Season FC at Ibrox.
DANNY ROHL- THE NEXT VICTIM OF IBROX DELUSIONS
Keith Jackson has watched a decade worth of managerial failures exit the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act.
Things just don’t feel the same as in the good old days but no-one can admit that they are watching a new club over-burdened with expectations. The fans are as deluded as the media messengers.
Rohl is about to discover that things are about to become very uncomfortable.
Not being Russell Martin no longer shields him from criticism as the Daily Record explained:
Record Sport’s Keith Jackson revealed that owner and chairman Cavenagh is reviewing the missteps from the campaign – and reckons German gaffer Rohl is facing an uncertain future.
Asked by Daniel Caw onHotline Live if he felt Rohl will be in the hot seat next season, Jackson replied: “No, I actually don’t. I think Rangers will be having a series of meetings and Andrew Cavenagh has already started a personal review of the mistakes that have been made this season.
“As I have said previously to this Daniel, when he first came in the door he was solely focused on getting the deal done, because it was a highly complex transaction to get a hold of so many sets of shares from different places to get the deal done.
“It took all of his efforts and all of his focus, and because of that he has literally his eye off the ball in terms of the football side of it.
“I said repeatedly last summer that things are likely to get worse before they get better under Andrew Cavenagh.
That was long after Jackson revealed that the real 49ers were about to invest billions into Ibrox. Cavenagh isn’t the 49ers, he isn’t 49ers Enterprises, his background and wealth are something of a mystery.
“I felt like mistakes were being made that he didn’t have full ownership of it because his focus was elsewhere.
“I think now you see a guy who has got all of that stuff done and has taken a lot more hands on approach to the football side of things, and I think it will be really difficult for him to switch off for the summer and think ‘Danny Rohl has got this’.”
Rohl has performed an average job at Ibrox. He is an average manager with an average squad.
Clearly the jolly to Spain to celebrate beating Falkirk 6-3 was a massive error.
Manny Fernandez and Nicky Raskin think that they are £30m superstars.
James Tavernier discovered that he won’t be getting another contract. A testimonial match for the Hall of Famer is never mentioned.
Yesterday’s defeat to Celtic has kicked off a summer of fun at Ibrox.
Jackson and his colleagues at the Record will have a new messiah to cheer on next season.
A non-German that understands the club, someone that doesn’t need to have it explained to them about the mystical powers of brogues, blazers and the cherished Loving Cup.

You just know that McInnes is finally going to fall into the cursed managers seat at Ibrox in the summer, cheaper, rangers background, knows the sash, nearly doing it with Hearts. Ticks all the boxes, plus no Tony Docherty as assistant to worry the bigots any more.
“And think Danny Rohl has ‘got this’
What is it with these fu**in retards that everyone needs to “get them” – “get us” – “get Sevco”
In the only get them that counts Celtic got them on the fu**in field of play yesterday the only place that it counts !
The stenographers need Rohl gone pronto so they can start flooding their pages with wait until next season fairytales
Considering that Rohl came in mid-season,
after Russell Martin had been chased out and the team was a shambles,
I don’t think he’s done ‘too bad’, [relatively speaking], managing mostly someone else’s squad.
sevco bought 3 players in January, plus loans – but you’d think a manager coming in mid-season
would be given the summer to rebuild the squad the way he wants?
If they chase Rohl at season end, it just continues the chaos and uncertainty at ibrox.
And, paying off Rohl could leave less cash available to a new manager for new players?
Being sevco though, would not be surprised at all if Rohl gets punted immediately after Saturday’s final league game.
