GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - MAY 16: Martin O'Neill, Interim Manager of Celtic lifts the William Hill Premiership trophy with players of Celtic following the team's victory in the William Hill Premiership match between Celtic and Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park on May 16, 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. Martin O’Neill has taken Jim White to task for the second time in a week.
The TalkSPORT host is of the same mindset as Kris Boyd and Ally McCoist.
All three are almost at breaking point as they come to terms with Celtic’s continuing domestic domination.
With only one League Cup win over the last four years it is getting extremely hard to maintain a superiority complex.
McCoist and Boyd will spout out their paranoia for their media partners knowing that the Scottish newspapers will treat their claims as the gospel.
In March 2024 McCoist boasted on TalkSPORT about his intentions to commit hate crimes in a match against Celtic.
His media career continued unaffected.
White tries to play the straight guy alongside Simon Jordan on TalkSPORT’s Morning Show.
When it comes to Celtic his true colours shine through. His affection for Brian Laudrup is nothing compared to his emotions in the company of McCoist or Graeme Souness.
O’NEILL KNOWS WHO THE ENEMY IS
Celtic’s 56th title seems to have become one too many for many in the media.
On Monday White asked O’Neill if this title was tainted. He got a short reply to that claim. It is unlikely that O’Neill will be visiting a TalkSPORT studio any time soon.
Answering the first question at Hampden on Thursday O’Neill said:
Tony Bloom has made some reflections himself to Jim [White], and he said that two of their players were ‘assaulted’
If that’s the case, then obviously there would be a deep apology from all of us at Celtic Park, but that has not been proved. If that hasn’t been proved, then that’s a fairly severe allegation. That has not been proved.
After being asked if that was a correction from O’Neill on the claims coming out of Tynecastle the Celtic boss added:
Well, that hasn’t been proved, and that’s a fairly severe allegation as well. So that’s not been proved. If it is eventually proved — and there’s been a lot of searching round over videos and things like this — then obviously that would be very serious indeed. But he did use the word “assault” — and that hasn’t been proved yet.
Tellingly at 6 minutes O’Neill added:
I’m surprised that no one has further investigated these assault charges. I thought that Mr Bloom might have been questioned a wee bit further by Jim in that — but seemingly not.
O’Neill’s tone yesterday was very different.
He was supposed to be previewing a national cup final but those invited to the media conference had no interest in Dunfermline.
They are still hurting badly from the events of the last week of the SPFL Premiership season.
The straw clutching since Callum Osmand rolled the ball into the Hearts net has been incredible.
O’Neill wasn’t playing the friendly old uncle yesterday. Sharing banter with reporters left devastated by Celtic’s 56th title.
As the Celtic boss pointed out White backed out of following up on Bloom’s assault claims.
It also seems that there has been no questioning of that by the messengers.
O’Neill knows exactly what he is being questioned by.

You know it’s lies when Bloom who built his fortune on mathematics and analysis, said that ” one or two players had been assaulted “.
Not very precise for a stats man.
Was it one or was it two?
All the evidence points to NONE!
But then he already knew that, as did the rest of the liars in the media, and I think we already know what their motivation is.
Even they know themselves. Bigots always get in a tizzy when it is pointed out to them. They lose the plot and lie. The truth means nothing to them.
Jim White ….he who cut his teeth at attempted journslism at Stv alongside the likes of Rob MacLean ! ‘Nuff said …..ah ..ah ..ah ! Enough I said !
MON should only be talking about the next game: a cup final.
But, then again our CEO should have been up front – all this week – taking on the SMSM
and their lies about the last game.
Anybody seen Nicholson…? 🙁
Will all be swept away without a peep from our shitebag board, left to Martin again.
Celtic FC should be challenging all these bitter huns and there ridiculous statements,we are here because of the media cronies like Boyd,McCoist and McInnes who at least had a horse in the race.
You all miss the most important thing!!!! Look and listen at that man. MON the greatest Celtic leader ever. An incredible man, an incredible manager and an incredible leader
And still the reports on here say they’re rambling on and on and on…
Bloody Hell – We haven’t half broken them to smithereens for sure…
C’mon Celtic – One more push and break them more today !!!
