Eight days on Hugh Keevins is toiling to cope with Celtic’s 56th title win.
Nine months of criticism and negativity met with the most glorious conclusion as Celtic beat Hearts to the title.
For 250 days Hearts led the way only to take up the James Tavernier position when it mattered.
Three hundred fans on a football pitch for three minutes has provided a convenient life boat for Keevins to take sanctuary on.
There has been more discussion on ‘reports of Hearts players being assaulted’ than on Callum Osmand’s dramatic goal.
That suits a certain narrative. There is 0% evidence of a single assault.
The missing minute conspiracy was spun out for five days before the SFA had to reluctantly trash that tale.
Moving swiftly to the the deflection from Celtic’s title success Keevins tells Daily Record readers:
Billy (McNeill) epitomized everything Celtic stood for and he is, undeniably, an immortal in the club’s history.
Those who invaded the pitch after Celtic had scored the goal against Hearts which confirmed them as league champions distorted Billy’s words and tarnished the club’s image at the same time by turning his fairytale into what is now a grim story of recrimination and retribution.
He would, I can assure you, have been mortified by the willfuly reckless behaviour of misguided fans.
I can assure you that McNeill would be delighted by the pain and hurt that Celtic’s title win has caused Keevins and many in his profession.
McNeill understood the Scottish mentality. He knew the disdain and contempt that most inside football and the media hold for Celtic.
KEEVINS JUST CAN’T COPE WITH BEING OUT IN THE COLD
Last Saturday there was a three minute pitch ‘invasion’. Soon afterwards Callum McGregor raised a trophy alongside his team-mates.
In 1967 McNeill didn’t manage that in Lisbon.
He was on his own when he was presented with the European Cup. His manager and team-mates were in a dressing room celebrating among themselves.
Sixty years down the line fans still celebrate the victory over Inter Milan. For some the celebrations get stronger every year.
The fans on the pitch in Lisbon aren’t castigated by do-gooders. It was part and parcel of the entire occasion. Part of folklore.
Fourteen years without the O** F*** has left Keevins bitter and washed up. The only respite to gladden his heart was during the freaky lockdown season. Other than that he has endured a life of misery.
Unable to comment on football he hangs on to anything off the park to criticise Celtic.
Keevins added:
When the trouble-making at the game carried on into Glasgow’s city centre, and violence erupted which resulted in serious injury, the Celtic supporters responsible betrayed O’Neill for their reprehensible actions.
The manager’s astonishing success in turning chaos into order, on and off the park, was based on a dignified man restoring unity among club and fans, while inspiring players to do significantly better than they had under previous managers.
Those who inflicted injury on, and fought with, police in Glasgow in the aftermath of O’Neill’s triumph were guilty of casting a giant shadow over the outstanding achievement with their mindless conduct.
Only for those that want it to cast a shadow. Those like Keevins who’ll turn to anything to distract from Celtic’s success.
Last Saturday 58,000 celebrated inside Celtic Park. Around half that number will buy the Sunday Mail today to read the anger and distress of Keevins.
With social media and fan content now dominating the market time is running out for the Record and Sunday Mail.
Sharing the anger and contempt of Keevins for Scotland’s most successful club only accelerates that process. 100%.

It’s stomach churning to hear this horribl baster doing the bidding of the establishment and in pretence of him being a lovable old codger , ” a lovely old guy ” when in truth it is sickening to see him attempt to ingratiate himself among a clique and a core of cnuts only to happy to use him as a useful idiot , who in trurh must utterly despise the creep another mr tom , what i can say is i’m glad the thing didn’t try to hang his hat on a Celtic hook , but was given the road by the fans and club alike , i hope the cnut never see’s sevco win a title in his life time and and prevent him cheer leading out front like a sad fish he is , Celtic can decide that for us all
Sleekit Phew. It’s personal with him and it has been eating him up for years.
He now looks like and behaves like a Gerry Anderson puppet villain.
A lesson to us all.
I’m assuming that Keevins comes from a Celtic supporting family. They must be mortified and ashamed of the Anti-Celtic drivel he spouts.
Why do celtic fans phone radio snyde super snore board to talk or ask him and clowns like Halliday about celtic can’t get my head around it
There’s part of me that’s angry with the country’s media the laptop loyal and anyone else who’s talking sh*t this past week until I think of all the anger and pain the bitter bigots have for this club and it success. We will always be in our life time the MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB IN SCOTLAND as the titles currently stand at 56 – 1
SPEW SPEW SPEW Hugh Keevins…
However “I can assure you” – Aye he assured us that Sevco would win the lot…
They fu**in certainly didn’t !
I seen that clip of him on SSB wearing the Celtic tracksuit top and getting the Celtic cake
Absolutely shameless
The sesson is finished gone it’s over, but he’s that F*****G thick he will probably doubledown and tell us sevco can still do the treble this season.
The best part of the season though was just before the split when him and the rest of his ARSEHOLE pals in the media all predicted sevco winning the league and automatically going straight into the champions league group stages.
Sevco have us to thank for winning yesterday, otherwise it was conference league European football next season, but nope,no praise from the ARSEHOLES in the press about that,us digging them out a hole.
As I posted previously I don’t ever want them to stop talking about this title win,the more they talk abiut it the longer the pain for them all.
I would have loved one of our own players to come out in an interview and say, this title this season has been the best ever, even if we ever reach 10 in a row,it won’t even come close to this.
That would really stick in their throats.
I see the daily Andrex are still looking for a bin lid subscription each month to read the SHITE they print.
2 chances of anybody giving them that, none and F**K all.
Keevins lost any remaining credibility – along with virtually all the other SMSM sports ‘journalists’ – back in 2011/12.
Still no sign of a hertz apology – and congratulations to our club.
The Edinburgh club’s recklessness will simply create unintended, negative consequences whenever both clubs play each other next season…?
Billy McNeill would have the same high opinion of Keevins, as he had for Gerry McNee.
Hilarious. Man…
