After six months out of football through injury Callum Osmand was back living the dream.
Thrown on as a 73rd minute substitute against Hearts the former Fulham prospect was charged with winning the title for Celtic.
He didn’t disappoint. In the 87th minute he delivered the cut-back for Daizen Maeda to put Celtic into the lead.
David Roome’s flag for offside was over ruled in the VAR Room. Celtic were in front with eight minutes of stoppage time to be played.
Hearts were throwing the kitchen sink at it.
Straight from the restart they forced a corner. Celtic cleared it.
Play was going in one direction. Celtic had sent on Dane Murray to deal with the aerial assault.
In the seventh minute of added time Hearts had another free-kick.
Goalkeeper Alex Schwolow was sent up to find the equaliser that would take the SPFL title to Tynecastle.
It could hardly have been a more dramatic finale.
There was to be one more twist to the title race but not in the Celtic penalty box.
Seconds after the Hearts free kick was taken Osmand was crossing the halfway line racing to the Hearts goal. Backed up by two of his team-mates, no Hearts players in sight.
THE HIGHS AND LOWS FOR CALLUM OSMAND
It has been a remarkable season for Osmand.
He has made just four appearances but has learned so much.
He has scored in a cup semi-final win, in a title decider and felt the agony of a six month lay off due to a hamstring injury.
That came away to Midtjylland in the Europa League. Osmand was called in as a replacement for Cameron Carter-Vickers.
All of that pain and frustration was forgotten about yesterday as 60,000 celebrated Osmand’s first ever league goal.
Now he can look forward to his first ever Scottish Cup appearance, who knows what adventures are in store when he returns to Hampden.

That must have been the most beautiful ever moment for all The Celtic supporters at Paradise yesterday !!!
