Technically Marcelo Sarachhi is a Celtic player until the end of June.
Recently there has been a variety of information coming out about his future. Creating conflicting conclusions among Celtic fans.
The defender’s situation sums up the lack of leadership and direction at Celtic.
Saracchi arrived on loan during the summer 2025 transfer window to provide cover and competition to Kieran Tierney. He did that with distinction.
Especially in the closing weeks of the season. His contribution was essential to Daizen Maeda’s title winner against Hearts.
With all of that evidence a decision really should be made by Celtic.
Is Saracchi worth a permanent transfer or is there another player profiled and ready to sign a permanent deal?
With an interim manager, an interim Chairman and an anonymous CEO Saracchi has no idea if his future is at Celtic. With that in mind he has to look at other options, a future at Boca Juniors seems unlikely despite having a contract that runs until December 2027.
?? Spoke with Saracchi’s agent.
He flew to Argentina yesterday and he’ll join Boca Jrs back (season’s over now)
Although he really enjoyed his short time at Celtic and loves the fans, the club never offered him a permanent transfer deal. ????????? https://t.co/KPU2vtn3sn

Ongarelli is a Celtic fan based in Argentina, he has made a few well publicised visits to Glasgow.
Quite simply no-one at Celtic can make a decision. Celtic have been without a manager since January 5, many would argue for much longer.
SARACCHI HIGHLIGHTS CELTIC ON PERMANENT HOLD
Celtic can extend contracts for players at the club quite easily. Yang Hyun-jun, James Forrest, Luke McCowan and Liam Scales have all done that recently.
The domestic double has probably convinced Michael Nicholson that he has done a wonderful job and deserves a few weeks with the Factor 50. No one at the club will notice that the CEO is missing.
In August Celtic face a Champions League Play Off tie.
Two matches that if successful can bring in £40m, raise the profile and value of everything around the club.
Nicholson is an employee that appears to have no interest in achieving Champions League football. It could raise expectations that the club operates competently in the transfer market. That theory was destroyed completely in January 2025 with the glee over selling Kyogo Furuhashi.
Only supporters care about the long running decline of the club. As highlighted by the lack of a decision on Saracchi.
If no-one at the club can decide on that clearly the bigger issues are also being ignored.
Under Nicholson it has become The Celtic Way.

With no football now till August these clowns in the board will slither into the background and hide out the way until the season starts. It might have been a mistake not to up the pressure at the end of season. Whats the latest on ST renewals? Fans need a boycott now, its only way the club might listen
Lucan canny even issue even the meekest and mildest rebuffel to The Scummy’s for all the filthy smears I’ve read on here that we have endured from them since our glory…
He’s a professional fu**in wage thief…
£8,000 coined in so far this week !
He was anonymous at school as well, caring for nobody but himself.
Every day that passes after the SC Final without a permanent manager at the club,
is a clear reminder that ALL the Board members are unfit for purpose, and have to go.
It’s been almost 5 months now to source a new manager.
Indeed, what quality player would even consider joining a club without a manager?
The only ‘benefit’ the delay has for the Board, is that a new manager will now have less time
to spend money on new signings…? 🙁
That’s them starting to fanny about already.
Sarrachi, Yang, Scales, Forrest, McCowan.
There’s only 1 of that 5 who is DEFINITELY worth signing and Yang who works hard but maybe just short on quality, whilst Sarrachi’s gone back to South America.
We need to get in the board’s faces and hunt them out of CP. And anyone bleating about Forrest the legend hasn’t paid enough attention when he’s hiding in plain site. SHOULDA been a legend? Most certainly.
Won’t sign Sarrachi as his wage will be more than they want to pay for KT’s back up. Quality won’t come into it
