Craig Gordon has again been bleating on again about his SPFL heartbreak as Celtic won the Premiership title.
Typically none of the reporters questioned the Hearts substitute about the source of the injustice.
Was it the missing minutes or the assaults on players from Celtic fans?
Both claims got plenty of attention after Celtic’s 3-1 victory secured five-in-a-row for the hoops.
It took five days for the missing minutes fantasy to be killed off. Reluctantly the SFA released the audio.
More than three weeks after the match ended Cammy Devlin revealed that none of the Hearts players were hurt.
HEARTACHE FOR GORDON AND THE TYNECASTLE LOSERS
Devlin and Franky Kent led the crying Jambos back to Tynecastle. Meanwhile captain Lawrence Shankland completed his escape from Gorgie Road.
Ahead of Scotland’s friendly against Bolivia on Saturday Gordon took to Instagram to share his grief and anger over Hearts finishing second to Celtic.
Gordon made three appearances last season for Hearts. Two starts and one off the bench.
Today he was on Scotland media duty with the Daily Record reporting the veteran goalkeeper saying:
I don’t think you ever will (get over it). It’s time to look to the World Cup now and those things will remain in the past. There’s nothing anyone can do about it.
The feelings that everyone has are their own feelings. I’ll have them forever but it happens in football, you have to move on.
We’re here at a World Cup now, the excitement levels are building so it’s now time to concentrate on that.
It appears that Gordon is about to miss out on a place in the Scotland squad to Angus Gunn, the third choice keeper at Nottingham Forest.
Gordon is ahead of Liam Kelly who spent the season on the bench at Ibrox watching Super Jack Butland.
Without doubt the goalkeeping position is the weakest in the Scotland squad.
Having a 43-year-old overcome by grief about a football match that he didn’t play in must be a concern for Clarke.
Gunn made one 45 minute appearance for Forest in the EPL, he didn’t get any game time in the cup competitions.
Despite that it seems that Gordon will be on the bench for Saturday’s opener against Haiti after watching Gunn play the full 90 minutes against Bolivia.

Scott McDermott still spewing the huns and his anyone but Celtic team blew it
Was that Tom English who asked Gordon the question about losing the league at the World Cup presser ? I thought the BBC Scottish version had binned him as a travelling scoop covering the WC ? If it was English who was there asking that question about league failure for Gordon and Hearts as a club to Celtic then he should be ordered back home … Immediately ? What kind of a lame shit pot alleged scoop asks a guy who is preparing for his country’s first World Cup in decades a snide , irrelevant and unimportant question about a domestic competition which ended 3 weeks ago knowing full well the ruckus it causes ? English also knows that the answer given by Gordon will cause a bad atmosphere between him and the Celtic players in the World Cup squad which Steve Clarke will need like a hole in the head . It really is a pathetic attempt at ‘journalism !’ He should be banished from attending all WC Scotland pressers until further notice ?
