GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - MAY 10: Celtic Manager Martin O'Neill and Rangers Head Coach Danny Rohl shake hands pre-match during a William Hill Premiership match between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park, on May 10, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland. (Photo by Craig Williamson/SNS Group via Getty Images)
The German genius spent eight months at Ibrox and is expected to join RB Salzburg as their Head Coach.
News of Rohl quitting emerged last Thursday accompanied by far fetched compensation claims.
Most messengers shared their delight of a £4m fee coming in, a few others were more modest at £2m while some zoomers claimed £9m. Plus add-ons, of course.
There is no mention of RB Salzburg in today’s club statement.
The Gullible & Deluded have again been taken for complete fools.
Thanking him for what? He finished 3rd when he was going into split favourite to win the league and clearly asked to speak to Salzburg . Cmon admin this post should’ve just been a confirmation of leaving without any thanks involved.

I’d like to thank Danny for his service and commitment to Rangers.
He and his staff put in a significant amount of hard work during his time in charge, which we are greatly appreciative of. We wish them the best of luck moving forward.
Rohl leaves with one decent result on his CV. A win over Celtic on January 3 which led to the sacking of Wilfried Nancy.
DANNY- ON A LOSING ROHL
He faced Martin O’Neill four times with just a draw to his credit. Celtic dumped the Tribute Act out of both cup competitions then finished their SPFL challenge on May 10 with a 3-1 v victory.
The main quality that Rohl brought to the job was that he wasn’t Russell Martin.
In October Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscatt both knocked back the chance to become manager at Ibrox.
Rohl had also ruled himself out but with an improved salary he signed up to manage Scotland’s newest club.
It wasn’t long before the bears were roaring ‘Danny Danny Rohl’ to the tune of Daddy Cool.
A run of fortunate decisions in matches involving David Dickinson convinced most fans that Rohl was the real deal and on course for glory.
Going into the post split fixtures Rohl’s side were favourites to win the SPFL Premiership title.
However after a morale boosting trip to Marbella the squad returned to lose four consecutive cup finals.
Rohl also lost his skipper with James Tavernier last season storming out of Ibrox holding a tray listing his achievements as skipper.
Derek McInnes is expected to be named as manager within the next 48 hours as the managerial cycle gets an earlier than usual spin.
Rohl won 22 of his 40 matches. Drawing 8 and losing 12. During his eight months at Ibrox he was never pictured at a barbers.

Roll Britannia…
Hopefully The Germans Rhol The English Brits over in The Knockouts in The World Cup !
Bye Danny Boy – We’ll miss ya and your inability to beat St.Martin !
The huns have swapped a guy with a helmet on his heid for one wearing half an eggshell.
It’s an Injuuuuustice!!!!
Calimero de de de de.
Wee Calamero,he’s a stuntman for Zelenski, with that mop of his and that stupid F*****G beard.
When he tastes his defeat or a decision that does go in sevco favour,he will plaything Gerrard card, people in Scottish football have it in for this klub.
That was Gerrard’s first words in his first game when a think they drew 1-1 with Aberdeen.
Lol,let’s see how many times he uses the word DISGUSTING this season, when sevco are dropping every other week, just like last season.
Compensation?!! He isn’t worth a ripped-up copy of yesterdays Daily Record!
Only complete muppets would swallow the story that another club would pay good money to take him off their hands…… just as well, eh?!
Lol,no doubt when he leaves Salzberg sevco will have a 50% move on clause in their favour.
Throw in any players he sells for his new club and a cut will need to be handed over to sevco.
Herr piece has left the building !
Ahh, the good old ” mutually consented” not heard that for a long time.
sevco getting ever more impatient: managers no longer get until October before getting punted!
As hertz manager, McInnes made ridiculous comments to the SMSM, [& without SFA reaction].
He might emboldened to be even more vocal at ibrox
– and drag the club even further away from its “Everyone, Anyone” PR slogan nonsense?
Made a few snide comments about Martin O’ Neill to keep the laptop loyal off his back
Then he got schooled by Martin O’ Neill
Then he shit himself and scarpered off to Austria
Another guffy sent packing
Frankly, my dear Sevco, I don’t give a damn
Ehmm err ehh… who’s feeling a Boyd that Rohl has played a blinder? Danny can rip-off scotch-tape free to RB Salzburg and say goodbye to the circus with a trumpety trump Trump. He looks tickled pink to be leaving Sevco for a bigger club in ostrich feather. Danny’s last descent down the grand staircase at Ibrox must have looked similar to an all dressed up Peter Griffin from Family Guy, gracefully flouncing down the stairs in style to the awaiting taxi. The German can say Ta-ra! catch you later as the Scarlett Pumpern Nellie’s wig has at last gone mit meine haare in the wind to pastures new. We can at least thank him for helping get Nancy out the door and for his words of advice.
Will miss you my old hear flick and thank you for trying hard to be staunch , thank you for being the first German to wear a poppy….it’s hard to say goodbye but one word comes to mind to describe you…..w****r
