Some rapid U-turns can be expected as Derek McInnes is presented as the new manager at Ibrox.
It seems that only Danny Rohl’s official departure is holding up the announcement.
Over the weekend the favoured messengers have all been informed that McInnes is a done deal while RB Salzburg and Rohl continue their negotiations.
Excitement levels among the Gullible & Deluded are off the radar.
Over the last year they’ve been expected to get behind a Buddhist, Vegan that was a member of the Green Party. The a geeky German wig-wearer.
With McInnes there is virtually none of the Woke stuff.
Other than his fondness for a sunbed Del Boy is as staunch as they come.
No one will need to explain to him the importance of brown brogues, a club blazer and grey flannels.
The majesty of the marble staircase, the managers office created by Mister Struth, the honour of taking part in the Loving Cup ceremony and the other bizarre traditions that infest Ibrox.
There is one small fly in the ointment.
MCINNES AND THE U-TURN OF ALL U-TURNS
In the winter of 2017 McInnes backed out of an expected move to Ibrox.
All was set for his coronation following the disastrous appointments of Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha.
One of their own was about to arrive to sort things out at the 5-year-old Tribute Act.
The messengers were reassured that it was happening.
Then Del Boy pulled out.
Concomitant became a thing, plucked from Traynor’s dictionary to trash McInnes.
Ibrox fans had other phrases. ‘Sh*t it’ being easier to get over than concomitant.
The Heart & Hand podcast didn’t hold back. Fan media favourite David Edgar didn’t waste any opportunity to put the boot into McInnes.

Heart & Hand will now be doing hand-stands to welcome their favourite ‘tubby fraud’ as he speaks to the media.
A lot changes over nine years. At Ibrox they’ve gone through every type of manager except a successful one.
Every possible set up has been explored and failed. Every fake accolade has been wiped from the record book.
Now it is Welcome Del time. He even sent Lawrence Shankland through as the advance party.

The club statement was a belter, as staunch and petulant as you’d expect from the anger of Traynor:
After the two games against Aberdeen, we requested permission to engage with their manager to assess his readiness and willingness to consider the Rangers position. This was declined.
We were subsequently made aware by Aberdeen’s statement that, at this stage in his career, it would be best for him to remain in his current post.
We endorse that position because moving to a massive club like Rangers is a big step with concomitant risk.
We continue to consider candidates but will only appoint someone in whom we have full confidence and who feels he is ready for the job.”
There has been a great deal of media speculation regarding the appointment of a new manager. We assure all supporters that they will be the first to know when we are certain we have someone with the correct qualities required by our club.
Pre-season training starts on Friday with Jack Butland, Danilo, Connor Barron and Dujon Sterling back in action.
McInnes has six weeks to prepare for the start of the SPFL and a Europa League qualifier. Only an idiot will think that he hasn’t given it consideration in the last few weeks.
Del Boy has long standing relations across the social media. Kris Boyd, Barry Ferguson, Ally McCoist and Keith Jackson are ecstatic at the news.
The latest managerial cycle is underway.

At least it won’t take long for McInnes to bed in over there. Him already being a loser and all that.
I don’t think a media that totally refuses to accept that Rangers died and they all had front pages for months about its demise will have any issue brushing over the fact McInnes knocked them back twice and likes a certain song……didny happen did it….
This is a wet dream for Celtic fans, who will enjoy a rancid, lying, tantrum inspired wee rat imploding with his second rate team at a second rate club…….
HH
This one might just work for them…
But Celtic have the power to make it fail…
Will they use that fu**in power !
Don’t forget that if McInnes is to be the latest coach driver in Ibroxland he will be going from a silver medal bottler runner up loser boss to a bronze medal holder ? Either way Martin O’Neill showed and proved he has McInnes in his back pocket and that was with all of the behind the scenes turmoil happening as he managed Celtic to triumph and the league and Cup double . Martin O’Neill shall still be sleeping like a baby no matter who is installed as the latest in a huge line of failed management in Govanlandia.
