Celtic fans owe the AICSC a massive vote of thanks for exposing the absolute incompetence of Michael Nicholson.
Had it not been for their AGM on July 4 the spotlight wouldn’t be so firmly on Celtic’s hopeless £17,000 a week CEO.
As he looks out at 40,000 empty seats against Middlesbrough tomorrow Nicholson might just give a thought if it is all worthwhile. Does he really need so much money so badly.
He has moved from being a laughing stock to someone derided and detested by Celtic fans.
All because someone high up at Celtic thought that it would be a great idea to patronise some supporters and tick a Fan Engagement box. ‘Look, we even speak to fans in Ireland, we listen to what real fans say’. Not those pesky moon-howling, obsessed Internet Bampots like that clown McHugh. (Hi Peter).
Cork is known as the Rebel County. For good reason.
IT ALL COMES CRUMBLING DOWN ON NICHOLSON
Late on Friday July 3 someone on the Executive of the AICSC got a phone call from Celtic to see if three VIPs could drop in to meet and greet the fans that fund their luxury lifestyles.
Nicholson slipped into his casuals and looked like a tailors dummy as he posed for a team picture with the big shots from the Irish clubs.
Thirteen days later that brilliant idea has backfired spectacularly. Like most things Nicholson touches.
A year ago his undermining of Rodgers went as far as signing Shin Yamada while banking the transfer fees for Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah. That was very underhand.
All it took to unravel Nicholson’s utter hopelessness was a question from someone in the Brian Hogan CSC.
The smug, patronising answer given by the Celtic CEO will accelerate his departure from his ridiculously over paid job.
I find these excuses incredulous and amateur like.
Don’t you go into negotiations saying we’re Celtic and we have a hundreds of attractive features when signing for Celtic? It’s all wrong. It’s being run wrong. It’s people on the wrong jobs representing us and who we are! https://t.co/K9b1CjU1m7— Matt McGlone (@MattMcGlone9) July 16, 2026
Over 16 hours 1,227 posts about Nicholson appeared on X/Twitter.
Not good news when the market place is being dominated and driven by social media.
We are not buying the pish spouted by Nicholson re agents. No other club seems to have the issue we have. Tells its own story. I can see another failed window. No lessons learned and the fall out with fans getting worse. I feel for @CelticFCSLO dealing with the fallout. Chancers.

NICHOLSON’S FATE
Ultimately Nicholson’s job security is in the hands of Dermot Desmond.
Many fans believe that Martin O’Neill briefed Desmond about how hopeless Paul Tisdale was. The Football Doctor left with Wilfried Nancy on January 5.
As Desmond studies Celtic’s end of year figures he will notice a slump in various income streams, notably merchandise.
The evidence is out there of the impact of Not Another Penny.
Again, the reaction on X/Twitter to every merch drop from Celtic tells a story.
The UK executives at Adidas have all the evidence in the world of the reasons why they can barely shift their Celtic stock.
Hopefully outside pressure will force the issue. After the 72 day reign of Dom McKay Celtic deserve a competent CEO.
When that happens Celtic fans should thank the Brian Horgan CSC and the role they played in Nicholson’s Downfall.

Desmond needs to sack Nicholson asap we all know the agents have a problem with him he is the problem if I was a double glazing salesman and was hopeless at selling windows i would be sacked what’s the difference with Nicholson why is he protected it’s outrageous
Totally agree Plunge. He’s a CEO in name only. Chocolate teapot springs to mind. Get Nicholson sacked now.
We have already been criticised by clubs around Europe for the manner we (Nicholson) perform negotiations. It’s not surprising clubs and player’s agents would avoid us, why would they bother!
When your wages ceiling is set 20% above national minimum wage and you have to pay for your own scran in the club cafe and buy a ticket for the bus to get you to away games, and all this is being sold to you by a guy with the charisma of used tampon, I would imagine it could be pretty difficult getting players in.
Methinks MN & co spend so much time post season on making sure any valuable assets go out the door for maximum profit that the players in door just doesn’t get the time it needs due to the fact they won’t spend till the fees come in.
That has looked an obvious strategy for quite a few years now.
The only other reasons for failure are pretty clear, either we have suits that are utterly hopeless at what they do or, it is being deliberately managed this way.
There is no in between.
Either way, change is needed now.
Empty stadiums folks….no bums on seats, even if its a Sevco game, ano its an ask, but what a message that would send, it just simply could not be survivable for the suits.
It would be world news not just a wee daft story on the west coast of Scotland.
Cos none of our sycophantic hopeless media chummies are asking any questions of these muppets, get it round Europe what’s going on and really put the pressure on them.
Something will give.
Been saying that for ages.
So he’s basically saying he can’t do the job that he’s getting paid £17.000 a week for
It’s f*cking madness
Nicholson is turning into a Walter Mitty type of chancer dreaming of all the things he isn’t but imagines he is in his nutty head . Tapoketta ..tapoketta !
Living proof that some folk are educated beyond their intelligence.
It’s INCREDIBLE that someone so detested, despised and hated is still arrogantly stinking out the club we adore…
He probably thinks he’s doing a pure fab job and that we love him !
