Derek McInnes will start the new season with a three match touchline ban.
Last season as manager of Hearts he described a decision in a Celtic match was disgusting, adding that everyone was against Hearts.
That was said while on a 37 match run of not having conceded a penalty in the SPFL Premiership.
The SFA served McInnes with a Notice of Complaint followed by a hearing at Hampden today.
Last week Callum Watt of Motherwell was given a four match suspension for comments made on social media.
Today McInnes got a three match touchline ban plus a further one match suspension for comments made to Sky Sports then repeated in a general media conference.

McInnes was upset about the penalty awarded to Celtic in stoppage time at Motherwell.
When you heard Celtic got a 96th minute penalty that was going to VAR and they were checking it, you just assume what’s happened is they get the penalty.
Having seen it again, it’s disgusting. It is. I don’t think it’s a penalty kick. But we’re up against it. We’re up against everybody.

A furious statement is expected from Ibrox tonight with Boyd and Ally McCoist on stand by to share their anger.

Will they give big Murts a call to fill in for the 3 games while Del ‘Billy boys ‘ McInnes serves his lenient sentence ? The guy who can perform all kinds of acrobatics and tumbling stunts without instructions ! The contortionist extraordinaire . Quick question ….does all touchline bans include no mobile phones too ? I mean if you can sit in the stands doing your ‘ ban ‘ but can use a mobile phone to your temporary guy in the dugout to dish out instructions and tactics then what is the point of it all ?
They’re appealing it of course and will likely gain something and citing all and sundry in previous cases while they are at it…
