Alas very few of them carry and credibility. But they know that there is a massive appetite/desperation out there for scraps of Celtic transfer news.
Mention Celtic showing interest in A/B/C on Twitter quickly spreads.
Some fan media websites will pick up on it. Check the ‘target’ out on Transfermarkt and bang out a story on Celtic being linked or keeping tabs.
Others will soon be in it. The Daily Record and Herald/Glasgow Times are constantly scanning for any sort of transfer related content.
When they publish the claim it suddenly has credibility. Then it starts to bounce around internationally.
Haissem Hassan is an example. One obscure Twitter accounts links the Egyptian with Celtic.
Within 48 hours publishers in Scotland, Spain and Egypt are reporting on ‘reports in Scotland/Egypt/Spain’ about negotiations for Hassan.
Even after signing Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sebastian Tounekti it is a stretch to see Celtic moving in for a winger with similarly underwhelming stats.

Tellingly neither Stephen McGowan or David Friel have picked up on this ‘transfer’. When they do you can treat it seriously.
Both reporters have a long track record of getting it right with Celtic transfers.

NICHOLSON LEADS THE SILENT APPROACH FROM CELTIC
After taking three weeks to conclude the deal for Camilo Duran it is believed that Michael Nicholson has taken the weekend off.
Seven weeks on from the Scottish Cup Final Nicholson is still negotiating deals for Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi.
Most clubs would move on to alternative targets if they can’t conclude a deal after seven weeks. Very few if any clubs would pay Nicholson £17,000 a week for his football knowledge, network of contacts and leadership qualities.
In September Nicholson will have been CEO for five year. Almost certainly looking forward to those big Europa League nights with £100m tucked away in the Celtic bank account.

Europa league is where we are heading and the remaining happy clappers will then need to take a big look at themselves.
This board must be chased out of Celtic park!!
Tomb raiders IIII
Play the game, play the game, I’m not sure if a deal can’t be arranged to swap their Egyptian mummies for our eejits and dummies.
We have a readymade eunuch Mute Mike for whom there is no need to have his tongue cut out, but the thief’s ears, nose and hands are at your disposal. DD already operates a cash pyramid scheme, you’re sure to be short-changed by our mummified Chairman BW who is nothing more than a deck chair attendant and we have a Wanted Man Chris MacKay who looks like and acts like a bank robber, there is no avoiding the bandits at Celtic Park.
They rode it all out last season and the hopeless bas*tards will do it all again this season !
