Martin O’Neill has made three changes to the Celtic side that crashed out of the Champions League in midweek for today’s match against Motherwell.
Liam Scales, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Haissem Hassan come into the side. Dropping out is Auston Trusty, Callum McGregor and Kasper Hogh.
There was no suggestion of an injury when Hogh was on media duty yesterday.
His absence allows Camilo Duran to play as striker with Hassan starting his first Celtic match since moving from Real Oviedo.
After the midweek collapse changes were expected in the Celtic side as they return to domestic duties.
McGregor’s injury was flagged up by O’Neill at Friday’s media conference. In defence it looks like Scales is a straight replacement for Trusty.
After starting their SPFL campaign with wins over Dundee and Kilmarnock Celtic will be keen to get three more points this afternoon.
Last season Falkirk visited Celtic Park three times in the SPFL plus an early season League Cup tie. Losing each time.
John McGlynn lost a number of key players over the close season but a 0-0 draw at Motherwell in their last outing suggests that things are coming together.
After today’s match Celtic host Aberdeen on Wednesday with their Europa League squad being announced at 11pm after that match.
