There was a fragile peace at Celtic Park tonight as a Ben Nygren header gave Martin O’Neill’s side a winning start to the season.
Old wounds have been been set aside but not forgotten after a season of turmoil on and off the pitch.
For no reason in particular the Celtic board decided to suspend the Season Tickets of 250 supporters based on a hazy long distance video.
Various claims were made about an incident in the concourse of the stadium but evidence has been thin on what actually happened.
Month after month Celtic Park was different.
The Green Brigade were suspended, The Bhoys silent in support against the victimisation of an Ultras group.
Eventually, with four SPFL matches left to be played the Celtic board lifted the suspension.
The Green Brigade were back, there was life in the stadium.
More than a few players pointed to the improved atmosphere as a factor in the dramatic title win.
New season.
Same shite.

At Season Ticket renewal time Celtic still had a score to settle.
Two Green Brigade members were prevented from renewing.
TENSION AROUND AT CELTIC PARK
Nothing was said by the club, not even by Unity campaigner Brian Wilson.
From the 68th minute of tonight’s match chants rang around the stadium criticising the board.
On the surface things are better than they were for most of last season.
But underneath it is clear that serious issues remain with fans suspicious of the actions and motivations of those in the Boardroom.
On the pitch it was a frustrating night as Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran made their debut among familiar faces.
Hogh had three reasonable chances to score but the margins weren’t on his side.
Forced onto the right wing Duran showed that he is more effective in a central position.
Martin O’Neill is hoping to link the two new signings in the coming weeks, in just over a fortnight Celtic face LINZ in a Champions League Play Off.

See they let Cal-Mac raise the flag…
A wise decision as if Wilson did it he’d have been booed asundry…
Anyway he’d probably wanna be hoisting a Butchers Apron instead…
Well he’s Labour isn’t he !
I see Hargreaves was our representative at the Champions league draw yesterday. He’s definitely on the rise up the ladder and all because he went to school with that muppet Nicholson.
