After taking over from Stuart Kettlewell last season the former Hearts winger did a decent job steering the Ayrshire clear of the relegation zone.
Three defeats on the bounce to start the new Premiership campaign suggests that McCann is more interested in projecting his image than delivering results.
As a pundit McCann spent all of his time angling to get back into management.
After a spell assisting Barry Ferguson at Ibrox he was convinced that he was the greatest untapped coaching talent in Scotland.
Filled by his own self importance he has attempted to get Kilmarnock playing an eye-catching brand of attacking football.
Reality is that McCann is as out of touch and deluded as Wilfried Nancy.
Management is about managing. Delivering results. After that you can start imposing your philosophy and personality on the team.
Three matches into the season Kilmarnock are pointless. And sitting on a -9 goal difference.
This is sackable, McCann has learned absolutely nothing from his time at Dundee. Did well to keep them up, builds his own squad and is turgid, rinse and repeat and you have killie 2026. Dundee united should never be 3-0 up against us at home, and it’s becoming a pattern.

THE DELUSIONS OF NEIL MCCANN
Dundee United went into today’s match on the back of three successive defeats.
Losing 4-0 to Hearts and Celtic they then lost 2-0 at home to Dundee. Things were looking bleak.
Today they were 3-0 up at half time as the home fans howled for McCann to change or resign.
With the benefit of years in the studios of BBC Scotland and Sky Sports McCann knows better than anyone else.
What could possibly go wrong with Billy Dodds and Kirk Broadfoot in his coaching team?
It looks like the lads on BBC Sportsound will soon be welcoming wee Neil back into the studio alongside Andy Halliday and their other experts.
Failure at Kilmarnock will almost certainly kill off McCann’s dream of following Micky Beale, Phil Clement, Russell Martin and Danny Rohl up the marble staircase into The Manager’s Office at Ibrox.
He should never have gotten the job in the first place. Well done on keeping us up and that but Jesus Christ.

Neil McCann and Dodds can leave directly via the car park and never come back. They clearly don’t have a clue what they are doing. Tactically inept, all over the place.

Wee Terry and doddery Doddsy will soon be back behind the BBC Scottish version of radio microphones alongside his many ex Rangers players and affiliates who are employed by the national broadcaster in wee Scotland drawing a nice wedge of a wage ? As the lady on The Antiques Roadshow who was getting her diamonds appraised once said : there’s always room for more !
McCann and Ayrshire…
A marriage made in heaven about to become a marriage made in Hell !
