It was the last news that Michael Nicholson wanted at the end of another week of failure as Celtic CEO.
The one and only achievement on his CV is raising the away ticket allocation for the Glasgow derby from zero and 700 to 2,500.
Nicholson has worked tirelessly to bring back the chant of The Billy Boys to Celtic Park.
In January the Union Bears were given the red carpet treatment while Nicholson suspended 250 Celtic Season Ticket holders.
No action was taken against any away fans as they indulged in the racist chants banned by UEFA.
It seems that Security Chief Mark Hargreaves was very comfortable with the conduct of away fans.
Tonight, 16 days before a League Cup tie at Ibrox Celtic have been informed that they will receive 300 tickets for the match.
The home club are perfectly entitled to come to that decision.
As are Celtic for the SPFL Premiership match a week later.

Taking the Celtic allocation from 2,500 to 300 is a guaranteed vote winner for the howling bears.

Home fans only in all Glasgow derby games and 50% of the gate receipt for cup games. Not like we get a home tie against those bams any way. Make the decision Celtic and take control of the narrative and for once in your corporate negligence lives defend your customers and life blood of the club.
We badly need someone at Celtic to fight the club’s corner against decisions taken by the SPFL, Police ,Politicians and RIFC.
Firstly, start by telling the Huns to stick their Celtic allocation and give them no tickets for Celtic Park, ever again .
Fight the SPFL decision to make us play behind closed doors and ask fans to not vote for politicians who keep trying to make nasty comments about our fans.
It’s no coincidence that McInnes got a suspended ban.
No tickets for them then if the SPFL don’t do something about it. They attacked our fans and staff in collusion with the cops. They have the advantage of a home game more than us this season and are trying it on.
Give them nothing, we should also pull out of the Scottish cup if that’s possible and stop our players from playing for any of the National teams in response to the SFA sanctions yesterday.

Clearly, Ibrox isn’t a safe working environment for our staff to be working in.
We should insist to the SPFL that the match is played in an empty stadium, as that’s the only way to ensure a safer environment.
The SPFL shouldn’t be able to wriggle out of it, claiming its Rangers responsibility, as the report made clear they are simply incapable of controlling their violent fans with a near catastrophe narrowly averted but, by luck, not design.
