The biggest individual shareholder in the club will be in Scotland from October 1-4 to take part in the Dunhill Cup.
In recent years it has become something of a family event with his sons Ross, Brett and Dery also taking part.
Despite his status at Celtic Dermo rarely turns up for more than five or six matches a season. He hasn’t attended an AGM since 2008
Leaving Michael Nicholson in charge of day to day running of Celtic has resulted in a complete lack of leadership and ambition at the club.
Nicholson’s devotion to building the bank balance at the expense of the team forced Brendan Rodgers into resigning last October.
Nicholson then appointed Wilfried Nancy as manager.
From Day 1 the Frenchman was clearly out of his depth. After 33 days Nancy was sacked with Martin O’Neill back again in the third managerial change of the season.
Desmond has overseen it all from afar. It seems that finishing above their O** F*** partners at Ibrox is the only KPI.
1st-4th of October dunhill links at St Andrews Dermot desmond is playing. As he cares more about that than Celtic it would be lovely if fans could go along & interrupt his game, sorry support his game. An egomaniac in front of fellow billionaires he’d love it I’m sure #celtic

Taking part in the Dunhill Cup is one of the key events in Desmond’s diary.
THE DESMOND SOCIAL DIARY
Played over the Old Course St Andrews, Carnoustie and the Kingsbarns courses it gives rich guys like Desmond the chance for some adulation.
Playing alongside Pro golfers and some third rate celebrities feeds the ego and allows for low level networking.
Tickets for the event cost only £21 per day and allows fans to follow the golfers at close range as they hack their way around 18 holes.
Last year the Celtic Fans Collective had three silent protests scheduled around the time of the 2025 Dunhill Cup.
One match into the protests Nicholson contacted the Collective to arrange a meeting with the silent protests called off.
At the October 6 meeting all of the worries and concerns about how Celtic operate were confirmed- and more.
When the CEO was asked to explain about the ‘club signings’ refereed to by Rodgers Nicholson shrugged his shoulders.
That action was noted in the Minutes agreed and published by Celtic.

Absolutely ? and I’m going! He’s an egomaniac & loves to rub shoulders with celebs, billionaires there so it will humiliate him if he gets heckled. Absolutely not planning anything other than verbal but he needs hounded out.

DD is as big an egomaniac & narcissist as you could find.
If anyone thinks going along to a golf tourney and heckling him is gonna help our current situation, we’re all in for a big shock.
Narcissists don’t take well to that kind of thing and personally I wouldn’t bother.
No bums on seats or mass walk outs is the only way to get the message across.
DD will not be dictated to and he will make the fans pay for any perceived offence.
Unfortunately I think you might be right bud , as much as he deserves to be heckled and humiliated in front of his billionaire pals , it could end up making things worse in the long run ( if that’s possible) HH
Bhoy4 life, spot on mate DD doesn’t give a flying fuck about Celtic or the fans, the only way to show this guy up is empty seats, the club have got their ST money anyway,so the only protest is boycott, and anything less, this board don’t give fuck.
What’s the old saying ,to be forewarned is to be forearmed, you’d think the folk dreaming up these plans could maybe just once keep it secret
His golf endeavours won’t be run on the cheap for sure !
It would achieve eff aw in the grand scheme if things, however, just annoying him would be worth it.
And it would upset a game of golf, always a good thing.
Trump loves golf. Nuff said.
