Celtic’s hopes of signing Mika Baur appear to have stalled.
On July 21 Fabrozio Romano tweeted that personal terms had been agreed for the player to join the hoops.
Obviously terms would have to be agreed with Paderborn for that transfer to go through. It seems that the club are in no rush to cash in on their midfielder.
Last week Baur missed a pre-season friendly against Southampton with doubts raised about when that was put down to having a cold.
On Saturday Baur played and scored for Paderborn in their friendly away to Osnabruck.

Celtic Glasgow remain interested in Mika Baur from SC Paderborn. However, according to Sky, the newly promoted Bundesliga side are holding firm in negotiations, which is why a transfer of the 22-year-old attacking player is currently considered unlikely.
It was reported that Celtic had offered £4m for Baur but that was rejected by his club.
With a year left on his contract £4m seems a reasonable offer for a Second Division player.

Clearly Paderborn aren’t happy with that fee even though in a year’s time Baur can leave as a free agent.
So far Celtic have only managed to complete two transfer deals during this window with the clock now ticking down.
There is less than a month remaining in the transfer window. In two weeks time Celtic face LINZ in a Champions League Play Off.
Last night against Dundee Martin O’Neill stuck with his favoured midfield trio from last season of Callum McGregor, Arne Engels and Ben Nygren.
That could come under threat if West Ham make a fresh bid for Engels, goal scorer Nygren had previously been linked with a move to West Ham.
Camilo Duran and Kasper Hogh made their Celtic debuts last night, Duran on the right wing and Hogh as the central striker.
Celtic have just two matches to play before the Champions League double header against LASK with players for those matches having to be registered by August 13.
Two changes can be made 24 hours before the first leg but it is a high risk to pitch signings straight into games of that magnitide.
