Reaching the Champions League on Tuesday night guarantees Celtic around £30m direct from UEFA. Falling into the Europa League would provide around £10m.
All payments are scaled up in the Champions League with a win coming with a bonus of €2.1m and €700,000 for a draw. In the Europa League the payments are €450k per win and €150k for a draw.
With increased ticket and hospitality rates and payments from sponsors the stakes in LASK on Tuesday night are high with a knock on impact on transfer activity and morale.
