Landon Emenalo appears to have already made a visit to Lennoxtown.
Late on Wednesday night Stephen McGowan named the Chelsea teenager as a serious Celtic transfer target.
When McGowan names a transfer target it isn’t a name plucked out of thin air. It usually comes from the highest and most reliable of sources.
Emenalo has yet to make his senior debut but has been capped extensively by England and the USA at under-age levels.
Finding a back up left-back has been a recurring problem for Celtic.
In recent seasons Alex Valle, Jeffrey Schlupp and Marcelo Saracchi have come in as loan options.
Kieran Tierney is the undisputed first choice left-back but there is some decent playing time available for his deputy with Emenalo looking a likely candidate.
A transfer seems increasingly likely with someone looking very like Emenalo pictured at Lennoxtown.

Celtic are closing in a season-long loan deal for teenage Chelsea left-back Landon Emenalo.
18-year-old Emenalo, son of former Chelsea technical director Michael, has now been earmarked to provide cover for Kieran Tierney.
Originally viewed as a midfielder or central defender, the Stamford Bridge academy prospect has represented both England and the United States and stood out at left-back in three of Chelsea’s pre-season games under Xabi Alonso.
EMANELO IN THE HOUSE?
It would have been difficult to put a name to anyone in the picture until McGowan’s story appeared late on Wednesday.
At that point the jigsaw pieces could be put together.
Chelsea Technical Director Michael is the father of the Celtic transfer target.
In January former Head of Chelsea of International Scouting James Bell-Walker took up a job at Celtic.
With the signing deadline for the Champions League falling at 11pm tonight there appears to be a degree of urgency about Celtic’s transfer business.
Going into the first competitive match of the season Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran were the only additions to the Celtic squad.
Yesterday Egyptian winger Haissem Hassan was signed from Real Oviedo.
It would have been best to have had those signings in earlier but Hassan and possibly Emenalo could be options against LASK.
A year ago against Kairat Brendan Rodgers had very limited options on the bench. They included Jamai Simpson-Pussey, Shin Yamada, Ross Doohan, Callum Osmand, Johnny Kenny, Colby Donovan and Dane Murray.
Against LASK over two legs Celtic need every possible option. Liam Scales will probably be second choice left-back but Emenalo could come into the equation.

Don’t be kidded folks, the not another penny campaign has a lot to do with what’s happening in the transfer market.
It bit….and it bit hard.
They suits would never admit it tho.
Now it looks like we all owe the club itself, but not necessarily the board, by getting the wallets out and buying some kit, cos it looks like this season could be something special if all the buys actually play to their potentials.
