Ibrox fans are seeking comfort from the troubles at Manchester City!
It seems that the walk-away bears of 2012 think that there are parallels between their refusal to settle with 276 creditors and City being found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges from the EPL.
The SPL deducted 10 points from Rangers when they went into administration in February 2012. No further punishments were applied because from June 2012 there wasn’t a Rangers. No titles or trophies were stripped, no 0-3 results applied for fielding ineligible players.
Rangers died because they refused to come up with an acceptable CVA to their creditors.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth said no. Dave King also no. And with that Rangers died.
Charles Green appeared on the scene to buy up the stadium and training ground.
Walter Smith and Richard Gough wished the new club good luck.

Manchester City are upto date with their creditors. HMRC are paid promptly every month.
City’s problems are all to do with breaking football regulations.
Rangers did that as well but the SFA looked the other way as they rubber-stamped their license to play in UEFA football. Despite knowing that there was an overdue £2.8m bill to HMRC for the unregistered payments made to Tore Andre Flo and Ronald de Boer.

They have broken football regulations left right and centre. They haven’t disclosed the true sources of income.
City covered things up and denied them until they surfaced through Football Leaks.
The EPL have went about their business very carefully. You would assume that they have every angle covered. Guilty of all but one charge.

Manchester United and Liverpool missed out on EPL titles due to the noisy neighbours.
In the nineties City dropped down to League One.
Until 2009 they were an unremarkable mid-table EPL side, much like Everton.
The Abu Dhabi investment nudged one club playing by the rules into the Championship every season. Possibly costing them millions.
Plenty of English clubs lost titles and millions to trophies to Manchester City. They will want full pay-back.
Unfortunately for City they don’t have a network of Campbell Ogilvie, Gordon Smith or George Peat type figures on the inside looking after their interests and against all other clubs. Ibrox friendly has always been the way inside Scottish football.
And City can forget about having a Peter Lawwell figure prepared to overlook past crimes in order to ‘restore’ a cherished branding.
Why didn’t the old club just stay as it was in the top tier of football? Why did Green change the name of Sevco to The Rangers? Why did all the players leave? Why did you need to transfer membership? You fucking know the answer, but just can’t admit it ?

Explain why Hearts, Dundee, Motherwell all entered administration, yet 0 were deleted from the SPFL, 0 had to apply for new licenses because they all got magic CVA’s=Never Liquidated.

Their situations could actually be described as complete opposites…. Manchester City’s owners have so much money that they want to sink into the football operation they had to disguise it’s source to make it appear that they complied with financial sustainability rules, the Huns (1872-2012) were so skint trying to keep up with a much better-funded Celtic that they couldn’t afford the inflated wages they were paying their players without engaging in unlawful tax-evasion schemes to disguise how much they were actually giving them.
The only similarity is that both clubs wore blue shirts while doing this.
The sevco supporters should just keep their heads down – and look the other way.
Just like they did in Rangers FC final season… 🙂
