Luzern have requested that they are awarded a 3-0 win from Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sion.
Swiss football is in turmoil over the issue of six signings made by Sion during the summer with civil courts, FIFA, UEFA and the CAS (Court Arbitration Sport) all involved in the issue.
Sion forced through a court ruling allowing them to field the ‘Sion Six’ against Luzern with Pascal Feindouno, Mario Mutsch and Gabri starting the match with former Hearts defender Jose Goncalves on the bench.
FIFA are adamant that Sion are banned from transfers during the current transfer window but under threat of a £16m action from Sion the Swiss FA didn’t contest the latest civil court action.
Luzern played Saturday’s match under protest with a meeting scheduled on Friday between the Swiss authorities and the clubs in an attempt to resolve the issue.
Sion have registered all six players for the matches with Celtic leaving UEFA to decide whether they go along with the FIFA transfer ban or comply with the ruling from the Swiss civil courts.

UEFA will bend over again. They are famous for it. They fine teams, suspend players, ban fans, and every time they appeal, UEFA bend and half or squash the punishment.
Prime examples are how much Rangers have been let off with,(bans for players and fans, fines, all halved or more upon appeal)how Arsenal were admonished after the disgracefull cheating episode against Celtic, the Eduardo dive to win a penalty in the Champions League, a two match ban was handed out, (overturned on appeal), the suspension given to Dida from AC Milan with the most disgraceful cheating of all time, also halved after appeal! UEFA have no backbone. they are certain to give in.
