Warburton MarkWhining Mark Warburton is still moaning about Andy Halliday’s second booking against Morton on Monday night.

After the game the former city trader said that he was ‘bemused and frustrated, whatever adjective you wish to use’ over the decision.

On his club’s TV channel on Wednesday Warbs explained that he had contacted the SFA to discuss an action that happens every Saturday of the season without dramatics.

Yesterday referee Barry Cook was the target with the former Ibrox youth keeper’s suitability to referee in the second tier of Scottish football questioned.

Using the same sneaky style as Ally McCoist, Warbs was happy to give airtime to the paranoia of the Ibrox support before stepping back and disassociating himself from the claim.

Ignoring the fact that Cook has refereed a top flight match this season Warbo- who has NEVER managed in a top division said: “That term ‘rookie ref’ would suggest – and I’m not saying he is – an inferior quality. You’ve got to provide the best officials possible for every game. If he is such a young referee, why was he doing a game with the team at the top of the table, on television? Was that the best decision? I’m not sure.

Using the same style rookie manager Warbs added: “It is hard to fit everything into your schedule. It is a difficult one because you throw a guy into a game – and I’m not saying he wasn’t prepared, but you choose the game wisely. It was a TV game and everyone has picked up on it

Everyone’s got to train, everyone’s got to learn but no specific club should be the victim of that.

I’m saying that as we’ve lost a player who has played almost every minute of every game for us and it’s not right there’s no appeals process and nothing we can do. It’s not appropriate, that decision.

John Fleming has been first class and has twice come back to me on email. He has been outstanding and I have no problem in that respect at all.”

Perhaps if Warbs hadn’t sent Andy Murdoch and Robbie Crawford on loan to reduce costs he wouldn’t be quite as upset by Halliday’s booking.

Warburton’s getting a Wee bit touchy, must be because of his inability to get the signings he wants but is clearly not allowed to get because eh,they’re skint.
He is starting to take his frustrations out on other people ,why don’t the SFA loan them the money?they seem to allow this club to do and say what they like.
After all the SFA claimed that the club that died would cause ARMAGEDON !!!
Strangely enough most clubs arttendancies have increased and more clubs are now in the black than ever before.
    That’s some ARMAGEDON .
I hope Sevco also die ,as trying to pretend to be the club that died may really cause ARMAGEDON if they are allowed to get into the SPL for the first time in their history .
The baggage that this new club bring will put genuine football fans following their own teams. It would be a huge step BACKWARDS.

The wee fud deserved a second yellow, as he was trying to noise up the Morton fans. It’s the same as always with the huns,
    It’s the refs fault.
    It’s the taxman’s fault.
It’s the SFAs fault (a know but they did blame them, and March to Hampden )
Really hope they go into administration and then die again.

This idiot must be taken down by the S.F.A. Who does he think he is? . Rookie ref`s? What about idiotic rookie managers that have not the slightest idea how a club is run. If a Celtic Manager said the same thing he would be on the carpet hey presto. This snake should crawl back to his London lair and stay there. He sure has caught on to the serco way of blaming every-one but themselves. That big boy came up and done that too us then ran away . Children go back to the mire you all came from.

I can understand the mans frustration, after all the second booking seemed a bit over the top. However o use sally,s tactics is nothing short of deplorable. You reap what you sow as they say. Hell skelp it into him and them

Just awaiting John Flemming and his merry band leading the call for immediate strike action, for the much maligned referees. Remember when NL got blamed for every ill in Scottish football, they threatened to walkout blaming him for their own shortcomings. When is the first strike date?

I’m afraid it was a blunder by the ref, I don’t like hammering he is getting from warbs but the officials need to be of a better standard.i want to be entertained by good football instead of frustrated by incompetants!
