News that Scott Allan is on his way to Rotherham was met by a shrug of the shoulders from most Celtic fans who then asked ‘what was the point?’
Twelve months on from signing from Hibs the midfielder is about to be reunited with Alan Stubbs and it’s unlikely that he’ll be back in a Celtic shirt any time soon.
Three starts and 14 substitute appearances later and Allan is off to Rotherham who ironically were keen to sign him a year ago when Stevie Evans was in charge.
Disappointed in the whole Scott Allan thing. Hope he does well at Rotherham. Makes you wonder what was the point though?

It was always going to be difficult for Scott Allan to make the grade here. He’s a decent player but never felt he was good enough for us.

#ScottAllan Another bit of dead wood away. If all you have in ur locker is a decent pass then I could fill that role. 2 managers ain’t wrong

After resigning from Celtic Deila admitted: “I know that Ryan (Christie) will be a great success in the end and Scott has trained well, he has talent.
“He maybe didn’t suit the style I want to play but he can get in the team if it’s another style. I don’t think signing him was a mistake. A lot of players go for half a year and don’t play a lot.
“It’s a big step going from Hibs to Celtic but he works hard. He is a good guy and he has developed this year.”
