BT Sport caught the magic moment perfectly.

In 36 seconds the broadcaster managed to convey the brilliance of Moussa Dembele’s goal with the raw emotion of the Celtic support.

Leigh Griffiths flick with the outside of his boot was the mark of a player with a point to prove- Dembele’s finish was that of a confident striker that knows his career is accelerating at an incredible rate.

When the ball hit the net it was the perfect moment to celebrate.

Having pushed Sevco further and further back it looked like the Scottish Cup runners up might just make it through to extra time.

An earlier goal would have been preferred by there is something very very special about a late goal winning a cup tie.

The finality of it is to be treasured even though there is the outside prospect of an equaliser as four minutes of stoppage time is added.

Once the final whistle was blown the real celebrations began as the support soaked up the elation of the six month transformation that Brendan Rodgers has carried out.

In April the same venue had been the backdrop to unmentionable misery as the Ronny Deila experiment crashed for the last time.

Too often Hampden has been the setting for the retreat home and the starting point for a post mortem.

This Celtic team seems different, it’s the real deal. Next month they can prove themselves by lifting the most elusive domestic trophy- and lay down a marker for the remainder of what is shaping up as a very memorable season.
