Pedro Caixinha is checking through the EBT all-stars to find a RRM to become his assistant.

On the day that BDO make a final appeal to the Supreme Court against the tax scam that kept the old club competitive The Sun has revealed the men that Brother Pedro will consider as his assistant.

Pedro’s Monday media conference was a masterpiece as he ticked all the bingo boxes while Dave King was preparing his response to the verdict of the Takeover Panel that ruled he had led a concert party to take control of the club in 2015.

King, along-with Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor now have to find £5m by April 12 to put together a bond and issue a prospectus offering to buy all of the remaining shares for 20p each, the price that they engineered two years ago to march up the marble staircase of dignity.

Failure to do so will have devastating consequences especially for motor boss Park.

Forget the buses that even Celtic use, the Lanarkshire businessman has garages selling cars across central Scotland and now has a toxic reputation in the motor trade as manufacturers realise the company he keeps and the ethics of his business partners.

With that background it’s no surprise that Brother Pedro is being presented with two assistants facing bankruptcy.

The third owes all of his playing success to a team full of players in on the tax scam even if his agent appears wise enough to have insisted on regular payments through the same means as every other club.

As the celebrations continue for the fifth best coach in Qatar washing up at Ibrox a look at his likely assistants confirm that nothing will be changing at the tribute act where reality will never be welcome.

BARRY FERGUSON

According to The Sun the regular political broadcasts from Barry Ferguson will provide the former Clyde boss with an interview to become number two to Brother Pedro.

A £2.5m EBT kept Barry happy at the club he always loved with Clyde fans happy to see the back of the Daily Record columnist last month.

At Broadwood Ferguson won 46 matches, drew 23 and lost 51 times which is similar to the stats that Brother Pedro has racked up in the ultimate journeyman career.

LEE MCCULLOCH

Strangely McCulloch wasn’t named in the EBT list produced by the BBC suggesting that his agent had concerns about the tax scam.

A shocking lack of pace saw the former striker converted into a midfielder who was mainly noted for his competitiveness which earned him the nickname of elbows.

When liquidation arrived McCulloch TUPE’d over his salary to the new club as they savaged their way through the lower divisions.

Now in charge of Kilmarnock on a caretaker basis compensation would be required to switch to Ibrox which probably makes a move unlikely

NEIL MCCANN

It took a £1.5m EBT to get McCann to sign up at Ibrox although he would claim that it was the thrill of joining Dick Advocaat’s star studded squad.

After joining in with Donald Findlay’s 1999 sing-along the boy from Port Glasgow was soon right at home at Ibrox.

These days he co-hosts Sky Sports coverage of Scottish football where his lack of enthusiasm for anything relating to Celtic is well established.

He did act as assistant to Jim Jefferies at Dunfermline for a while but seems to find life easier in front of the cameras rather than in the dug out.
