Brother Pedro has dumped Jim Stewart from the Sevco backroom squad.

Just like Ian Durrant, Stewart has discovered that being a RRM cuts little ice when an outsider takes charge of the club.

According to a report in the Daily Record the goalkeeping coach’s role with Scotland is being used as an excuse to dump a salary from the wage bill.

Stewart was brought into Ibrox by Walter Smith in 2007 after the Scotland boss quit his country to replace Paul le Guen.

In 2012 the former Kilmarnock keeper TUPE’d over from Rangers to Sevco and has served under Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall, Stuart McCall, Mark Worthington and Graeme Murty.

Brother Pedro will now have to find a goalkeeping coach although the club could just promote one of their other goalie coaches into Stewart’s role.

At 63 years of age Stewart may now settle for working with the Scotland national team although that position could be under threat if Gordon Strachan loses his job.
