Billy Davies warns Kelvin Wilson of Forest duties

|

Kelvin Wilson Celtic newsBilly Davies has warned Kelvin Wilson that he expects 100% commitment from the Celtic-bound defender.

The Nottingham Forest boss has four first team players out of contract at the end of the season as he attempts to guide his side into the Premiership.

Despite seeing Derby pick up £300,000 from the sale of Kris Commons to Celtic Davies is in no rush to cash in on Wilson despite knowing that the defender will walk away on a Bosman at the end of the season.

Robert Earnshaw, Guy Moussi and Nathan Tyson are also out of contract but only Wilson has agreed a pre-contract deal to quit Forest.

“We’ve had a talk. I have told Tyson, I have told Kelvin, Earnie, Moussi and everyone else who is out of contract the same thing,” Davies admitted.

“I have told them what the position is – and that is that I have given my recommendation (to the Forest board). What we do now is we do our jobs. They have a contract, just as I have, that lasts a certain amount of time.

“Until that expires, you come in and do your job to the best of your ability. You are professional.

“I have told them to be professional and to do the right things. Until their contract expires, we have to get the best out of them for Nottingham Forest.”

Wilson hasn’t started a game for Forest since the 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth at the end of October.
