Joe Ledley's injury fear

|

Joe Ledley Celtic newsJoe Ledley fears that his season could be over.

The Celtic midfielder is awaiting results from the hamstring injury that forced him off early in the second half of Sunday’s draw with Rangers.

Ledley had missed the midweek win over Kilmarnock due to the injury but felt good enough to play against Rangers but is now anxiously waiting to see if he still has a part to play in the final month of the season.

“All I’ve been doing is icing the leg since Sunday,” he told The Sun. “It’s been agony since I came off. I’ve never known anything like it. I can barely walk.

“I won’t know anything until the results come back. I’m a quick healer so you never know, it’s not looking good though judging by how it feels. It felt absolutely fine on Saturday, so obviously I wanted to play.

“I’ll be gutted if I miss the run-in and the Cup Final so I’m hoping for a quick recovery.”

He looked to have a fair old keeker when he came off to!
The bottom of his right eye (I think?) had the begining of a nasty looking bag under it, and looked as though it would have been a real shiner by the morning.
That must be the penalty claim wattie wasn’t greetin’ about!
As we all know, because we’re told it often enough by the laptop loyal, Mr dignity NEVER complains about penalty decisions, or refs in general, unless of course the huns have been playing earlier, then he complains about refs, penalties, throw-ins, corners, free kicks, bookings, linesmen (and their second names), the weather, the pitch, how skint he is, how unfair it all is, pesky banks and the price of eggs, all of which of course doesn’t really count.

Max- I think he picked the keeker up during the St Johnstone game mate, a forearm smash going up for a header..

I just heard on the radio there he out for the remainder of the season.

Gutted for him as he worked hard for us this season, a big favourite of mine he has become.

He is one of those player’s where his graft goes un-noticed in a lot of games, the start of the season due to him settling in and slotting in at left back on 4 or 5 occasions it took him time to get to grips with it, but I started to see him look more comfortable after the derby game on the 2nd of january, that ball he played big Samaras in for the first goal was top class, the media called it a clearance punt, idiots they are who not capable of appreciating a brilliant piece of football when they see it unless it’s in red white and blue..

Joe is going to be a big loss for the cause the last 5 games, thankfully with Rogne and big Dan back fit we can either slot Commons or big Mulgrew in there at left midfield, two different kinds of player’s thou, Commons is more an attacking creative midfielder and Mulgrew is a lot slower but I’m sure they will be enough.

Ledley has been in a few cup finals but always came of the loser, he’ll be gutted missing the Cup final, still deserving of his medal thou if we won..

    Forever Celtic

Fair do’s, but I think you’re picking up on the one aspect of my post that was basically a lead on to the real core of the post itself.

Smith has complained after EVERY game the huns have played this season, about EVERYTHING, fought constantly OUTSIDE his tech area, moaned about……….well I won’t repeat myself, BUT the laptop loyal will mantain constantly this cantankarous auld ned is dignity personified while actually listing his latest long list of complaints in the same article!
Never mind Lenny, if any other manager had conducted himself in the way this guy has in his time in Scottish football he would be crucified!!

This guy is allowed to call referees CHEATS again and again without sanction, and always has been granted that accommodation!

He even got away with questioning a mans integrity because his name was Murphy FFS!!

    WHY!

He’s the biggest cheat in the game, by a long shot!

Max my first paragraph was me only pointing out the incident where Ledley picked up his black eye.

The rest of my comment was related to the article, wasn’t responding to the other points in your comment..

To be honest I agree with your other points but didn’t see what relevance it had with the main article, that’s why I didn’t give my opinion on your point(s)..

Regarding your other point, Old Mr Dignity has no dignity, Mr Hypocritical whom I’ll be extremely glad to see the back of him after this season as he boil’s my blood, but hey his successor is one irritating little odious individual who has the media referring to him already as Alistair, or cheeky chappy.

So while one old scounderel is departing Scottish football his clone is being forced upon us.

My perception of Comical Ally is that of a very Anti Celtic little scrote, and I reckon his personality is one that will be irritating the life out us for some years to come.

We got a wee taster of what to expect from him during the Scottish Cup replay at Celtic Park, and i live in Brancumhall East kilbride, his old stomping ground many years ago, and a few old Kilbrider’s tell me he was a baw bag.

But hey bring it on eh, in Lenny we trust..

    Hail Hail \o/
