Troubled times for Henrik Larsson at LBoIS

Former Celt Henrik Larsson is facing the toughest test of his managerial career with Landskrona BoIS sitting second bottom of the Swedish Superetten (Second Division) after eight games.

LBoIS travel to meet fifth placed Jonkopings Sondra with their pre-season promotion hopes already forgotten with survival the immediate goal.

“Given the injury situation and the start of the season there is no other alternative,” Larsson admitted with more than half of his first choice players missing tonight’s match through injury.

“You have to be realistic, when we have seven players out due to injuries. Had we had more points and a confidence in the team, or a squad where we have ready made replacement we could look at things differently.”

Only Qviding FIF are below LBoIS in the table with the two clubs meeting on June 12.

Despite their poor start to the season LboIS are only 11 points behind leaders Atvidaberg who have only taken 16 points from nine games, losing three times.
