Craig Brown escapes SFA touchline ban

|

Craig Brown Aberdeen newsVeteran Aberdeen boss Craig Brown has escaped scot-free from his touchline bust-up with Motherwell owner John Boyle.

The shameful scene came at the end of a recent match between Motherwell and Aberdeen and was beamed around the world.

Brown was seen chasing Boyle after the Motherwell chief had said something following Aberdeen’s defeat.

Aberdeen No. 2 Archie Knox had to restrain Brown who earlier in the season had admitted punching a director of Odense during a Europa League tie.

Last month the same SFA Disciplinary Committee handed Neil Lennon a four match touchline ban for a lesser incident involving Rangers assistant Ally McCoist.

According to the SFA Brown has been censured and warned for his part in the incident while Boyle has been fined £2,500 for his part and severly censured.for

After hearing about his reprieve the Aberdeen boss said: “I respect the individual members of disciplinary committee and I accept their censure. They acknowledged the level of provocation to which I was subjected.”

It’s time for the fans to start boycotting away games, and hit them where it hurts most… in their hip pockets, these clubs rely on Celtic’s traveling fans to remain solvent.
