Terry Venables Premiership preview

|

Steve Kean Blackburn managerThe oh so wonderful Premiership will probably be decided this weekend whilst the FA Cup Final takes place at Wembley.

A point for Manchester United at Blackburn gives them their 19th title while at the bottom it’s getting closer and tighter with Gary Caldwell’s Wigan facing West Ham in a game both side’s must win.

Former Celts Stevie Kean of Blackburn and Mick McCarthy of Wolves are heavily involved in the relegation dogfight with both teams meeting on the final day of the season.

Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea last Sunday killed off any hopes of the title remaining in London with neighbours city doing their bit by clinching a Champions League place at the expense of Spurs on Monday night.

Terry Venables takes you through the weekend card- I think that a Chelsea home win on Sunday looks the bet of the day- not that we’ll be focussing too heavily on events at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has spoken out about the attack on Neil Lennon at Tynecastle.

The Gunners boss takes more abuse than most from morons but was shocked to see that abuse turn to violence in midweek.

He said: “I have often felt very aggressive behaviour in the stands, but never physically faced anybody who was disrespectful.

“It is quite amazing how English people are always respectful when you meet them outside the games, and how aggressive they are once in there.

Hearts avoid apologising to Neil Lennon
