Former Celts

Artur Boruc in demand

|

Artur Boruc Fiorentina newsBologna have made an enquiry to Fiorentina about the availability of Artur Boruc.

The former Celtic ‘keeper played 26 times for Fiorentina and helped his new side into ninth place in Serie A.

Boruc replaced the injured Sebastian Frey in October but the Frenchman returned to action in April and alternated goalkeeping duties with the Pole.

Fiorentina paid £2m for Boruc last July and will be looking to recover that fee if they are to allow him to move to Bologna.

Boruc has been linked with a couple of Premiership sides recently but seems happier and to be enjoying his football again in Italy after four eventful seasons with Celtic.

Meanwhile Hertha Berlin have been linked with a move for Andreas Hinkel.

The former Stuttgart and Seville righ-back missed the whole of last season due to a cruciate ligament injury and will be released from his contract at the end of this month.
