Awana Diab has achieved worlwide fame thanks to the cheekiest penalty ever taken in international football- but despite netting he has fallen foul of his manager Srecko Katanec.
In a friendly match against the Lebanon Diab turned 180 degrees and back-heeled his penalty past the stunned goalkeeper.
The UAE won the match 6-2 but straight after his goal Diab was substituted and faces disciplinary action for his ‘disprespectful act!
Kris Commons is expected to start the new season as Celtic’s penalty taker- if he tries a repeat of this type of penalty I’d imagine that Neil Lennon would quickly be reaching for the substitute’s board- or worse.

He looked like a bit of plonker anyway, far from clever or cool which i’m sure is the vibe he was going for…but that keeper should be embarrassed with his contribution! I’m surprised he wasn’t subbed after the goal too 🙂

I’m sure there’s a video out there of Totti doing that during training, yet at a far greater pace and a lot less awkward looking.
If he could replicate that in a match then it would be cracking.
This guys attempt is woeful and the goalkeeper should have strolled along and picked it up to show him right up.
PLEASE make sure Samaras doesn’t see that!!! in a way atleast he wouldn’t do another ipox & put the penalty where everyone knew he was. i can see why some would say it’s disrespectfull but just picture Commons doing that in the last minute against them????
