Neil Lennon hasn’t been surprised by the composed start that Kelvin Wilson has made to his Celtic career.
The former Nottingham Forest player has slotted quickly into the Celtic defence playing alongside Glenn Loovens and Daniel Majstorovic in the first two games of the season.
Wilson will finally make an appearance at Celtic Park tomorrow with Lennon encouraged by the way his former Nottingham Forest team-mate has settled in after being frozen out by Billy Davies at the City Ground.
The hoops boss told channel 67: “Kelvin has settled in brilliantly and shown us all the qualities that we felt he had- he’ll only get better.
“I don’t want to get too carried away but I’ve known Kelvin since 2007, he was a stand-out player in that Forest side and I’ve kept an eye on things ever since.
“I wanted to bring him in this time last season, I couldn’t do it but thankfully he wanted to come here. He showed a great desire and commitment to come here.
“He’s looked after himself during the time off and benefited from that. He had a good pre-season and is well upto speed with things. He’s still got a bit to learn about but from what I’ve seen so far I’ve been delighted with him.
