Celtic diary newsDear Diary…
It’s Saturday morning and I’m getting ready for the game at Celtic Park against ICT ( spit)….
The plan is…train into Glasgow with Barney….meet up with Davy at Central Station….
Then it’s a pub-lunch… a few beers…and if the Dark Side’s game is on the telly…cross our fingers…
although that’s a forlorn hope…..I think the Pars will get humped.

I’m looking forward to our game today and hope we get a repeat of the flair and the form we showed against Murderwell. We need to start finding a bit of consistency so the players can get a bit of belief in themselves. It’s obvious we are not operating as a team every game….hope this changes soon.

So I’m off to the match now Dear Diary….wish us luck …and I’ll be back to talk to you soon.

Dear Diary…It’s Sunday afternoon and …where do I begin??
Well first of all..the Pars got humped as I suspected they would…so there was a wee bit more pressure on us to win…and win in style.

Well…one of out two’s not bad ….we won …but ..oh…we were pretty dire. For the first ten minutes of the match we were nowhere…and it didn’t really get an awful lot better after that.

Although, in fairness, we did learn a few things ..or should I say…we confirmed a few things that we thought we already knew….mainly that Big Dan and Glen aren’t up to it.

This was an another poor performance from both these players- it’s a good job that ICT (spit) don’t have good strikers…or we would have been in the merde.

It didn’t stop there , however, as the malaise spread throughout the team and before long we were witnessing as poor a performance as you could wish to see. On a very odd occasion , we did get our act together and were rewarded with two smashing goals ..one from our best player ..Joe Ledley….and one from a another mediocre player on the day..James Forrest.

Another lovely move saw Stokesy with an easy chance to put us on easy street ..but in keeping with most of his colleagues…he blew it.
In the meantime.. ‘strange’ things were happening in the Green Brigade section of the stands…banners were unfurled to display messages of defiance to “The Authorities” and they were met with an amazing supportive response from the rest of the stadium..

It was a bit surreal , as instead of watching the game… we were all watching the GB. …( not that we were missing much mind you)…

Now the GB has attracted it’s fair share of critics in the past (and present) …but this message being sent out yesterday is a serious one and needs to be publicly aired. Dear Diary…Better writers than me will explain the nuts and bolts of the concerns in other Celtic Forums… but I just wanted to let you know that the Celtic support , should not , and hopefully will not , accept , legislation….that is to our detriment.

In a ” light-hearted” way it lifted the doom and gloom in the Stadium ….whilst carrying a sobre and serious warning……. but the bottom line is…I went to watch the team play …and was ‘entertained’ by others…..how worrying is that??

Still…. Dear Diary….it’s only Udinese next…and we won’t need the GB for them…….will we ??
