Gary Hooper Celtic newsGary Hooper would love to keep his scoring run going against Inverness Caley Thistle tomorrow.

Neil Lennon’s first choice striker has found the net in his last three SPL matches and has his sights set on the highlanders tomorrow.

As the BBC never tired of reminding Celtic fans during the League Cup win at Ross County on Wednesday the defeat at Inverness in May had a major bearing on Celtic losing the title to Rangers.

Hooper remembers the pain of that day and wants to ensure that there is no sign of a repeat when Terry Butcher’s side visit Glasgow tomorrow.

Caley Thistle hurt us badly last May when we lost up here,” the striker admitted. “We have to put pressure on them very high up the pitch on Saturday and force the issue.

“We are at home and hopefully we can score a few goals. That would help get the fans on our side again and I am hoping there’s huge turnout at Parkhead.

“We flew to Inverness (for the Ross County match) but we drove by Caley’s stadium on the bus to Dingwall from the hotel.

“We were focusing on Ross County at that moment in time but we’d love to beat Inverness this time around.”
