Bursaspor are leading the race to sign Celtic’s Morten Rasmussen on loan.
Two other Turkish clubs are also interested in signing the striker before the Turkish transfer window closes tonight.
Celtic would prefer to do a permanent deal but are likely to accept another loan for the Danish striker.
Tony Mowbray signed Rasmussen in January 2010 but the loan deal for Robbie Keane effectively ended the Dane’s chances of establishing himself at Celtic.
Rasmussen spent last season on loan at Mainz 05 in Germany then returned to Denmark for a stint at Aalborg.
Neil Lennon has told the strikers’ representatives that he has no future at Parkhead with the player keen to revive his career in Turkey.
Bursaspor are favourites to sign Rasmussen but aren’t willing to make a permanent move after Kenny Miller’s quick departure to Cardiff after joining from Rangers in January.
Celtic have already sent Darren O’Dea, Niall McGinn, Daryl Murphy, Jos Hooiveld, Josh Thompson and Ritchie Towell out on loan with the club wage bill significantly reduced.
